Q:Since there is no ground bus I assume that grounds and neutrals will all be on the same bus to include ground from grounding rod. I'm using this as a sub panel with 3 conductor (2 hots and a neutral).

Answer This Question
A: You would need to add a ground bus. In subpanels, the grounds and neutrals should be on separate bus bars that are not bonded. The ground bus is bonded to the panel enclosure and the equipment ground is bonded in the main panel only.

A: Similarly mine is used for a hot tub GFI. I ran a ground from the primary panel and to the hot tub and grounded both to the junction box.

A: Yes this would work just fine. This. Panel would accommodate a few more breakers depending on power supplied to it. I used this to power a sub panel to a friends garage. I would recommend you use a pull panel an I use on ac unites. It has a handle key to remove and install backwards to make sure it’s off during service but I don’t believe it’s necessary but are much safer. Obviously this depends on your state electric codes

Answer This Question
A: If you are going to use standard 15 Amp duplex receptacles, you should use no greater than 20 Amp breakers with 12 guage copper wire, but check your local building codes, GFI breakers, or GFI outlets may be required depending on the patio construction. It should work with two 20 Amp standard breakers or four slim breakers. Get a permit from your local building department, the will help with proper and safe installation.

Q:Help Siemens. Purchased this box along with 783643148383 Model Q230U Type QP 30A double pole breaker. Per specs this should be the right breaker. Breaker appears to be too large for the box; doesn't seem to fully seat on the blades and is too large for the cutout in the cover. Did I purchase the wrong breaker?
