However, we would recommend giving a few inches of clearing at the rear for any hoses, drains, and additional equipment necessary for the unit to run properly. This could mean the unit would stick out closer to 3" to 4". Again, you could certainly do this if you're okay with the added depth. Thanks, Summit Appliance
