A: solid surface countertop can now be cut using the circular saw. It's highly recommended that the cutting tool is made from carbide and has a minimum of 40 teeth, to ensure a smooth and accurate edge. The saw should be slowly run along the straight edge to help avoid the build-up of heat.

A: I would not recommend it. I returned mine because the simple circular overflow drain hole that was drilled in the bowl from the factory was already chipping. If you cut it, it would look really rough I'm sure.

A: Hello, yes you can cut down this product. We recommend using a circular saw with 60-80 tooth carbide blade or saber saw with a bi-metal blade (14 teeth per inch). Q:The front middle has a rough ridge on It and I cut my finger on it unboxing it. Can this be sanded down to have a smooth edge since it’s going in a kids bathroom?
Also it overhangs just a bit but enough that my vanity edge is in dead space underneath and have nothing to attach that side to. Any recommendations on this issue?

A: We recommend a carbide tip blade (60 tooth circular saw, 14 tooth jig saw). This will provide you with a smooth and straight cut. You will want to buff and sand the the edges to have the finished appearance.

A: Well, it's just plastic, so it will trim with a saw or almost any kind of cutting device. The trick will be getting a smooth and straight cut. If I had to do this, I might try a fine toothed table saw or circular saw on a track. Maybe use a roundoff router bit to ease the edge, then a bead of caulk where it butts the walls to hide any mistakes.

A: Solid surface is made out of acrylic resin. It is cost effective but will melt when exposed to high heat, like a curling iron and also takes on scratches

A: Swanstone sinks are composed of a proprietary blend of polymers and pigments, with aluminum trihydrate (ATH) as a filler ingredient. The sinks are fiberglass reinforced, and manufactured using a compression molding process at high heat and pressure to help ensure even distribution of their decorative aggregate particles.

A: It is a man-made material usually composed of a combination of alumina trihydrate (ATH), acrylic, epoxy or polyester resins and pigments. it was first made under Corion but the patent ran out and now other manufacturers sell it as their products.

Q:The sink space I have on my vanity is 17-3/4 inches. This sink is 20-1/8 inches long at the top, but it angles down fairly sharply. Does the sink angle down enough to fit into the 17-3/4-inch space that my vanity has?

A: I have the same top as shown in this email. It is an 8" on center, three hole drilled top. It was ordered from home Depot. I am sure you can get the top you want from your local HD store.

A: Unfortunately, this will only come with one hole pre drilled. If you'd like to have more, you'll need to use a hole saw with a carbide bit.
