Q:Where is the eight foot 2"x4" used for mounting? Seems like the slide would attached directly to play structure/deck at the top and the bottom has a lift of the ground already part of the slides' design. So, where do you use by 2"x4"?

A: At the top of the slide it is flattened out and spread a bit with holes for screws. I wish I could send a picture but hopes that helps. Ours just sits on some wood and held on by the screws, it’s not flimsy even though it isn’t connected to its actual playground structure

A: The 2" x4" is just in case you do not already have a proper play structure with which to attach the slide. Otherwise, it will attach to any wooden playset platform of 42" to 48" inches in height. Thanks for the question!

A: I would think so with some contingencies... slot the end of one so the lip will fit into the end of the other and support it as much as possible all along the way.

A: We do not recommend installing 2 Cool Wave Slides to make the slides longer. Thanks for the question!
