A: Yes, Titebond Original can be used for veneers. If you don't have a press, you can also use Titebond Original as an iron-on-veneer adhesive. To do this, apply adhesive on both the back side of the veneer and on the substrate and allow it to dry. Then take an iron on cotton setting and working from the middle to the edges, bond the veneer. Use a brown paper bag as a cover to keep the iron from scorching the veneer.

A: To my knowledge, yes it is. You should always read the labels though because not all glues are. And food contact surfaces need to be properly sealed with a food safe product.

Q:What makes this different than the Ultimate Wood Glue?
by|Jul 27, 2018
3 Answers
Answer This Question
A: Original formula is made for interior projects only and the Ultimate, Titebond III is waterproof so it is perfect for exterior projects or those that will have water contact. Titebond III is slightly stronger and also has a slightly longer open time.
by|Sep 10, 2022

A: Ultimate is waterproof and for exterior or interior use. This is interior only and not waterproof. Premium is water-resistant and for interior or exterior use. So, my opinion would be to get the ultimate if you're using it in a place where water is an issue such as exterior applications.

A: Depends on the project if solely in doors this is fine
