Answer This Question

A:  Hi, Julie! Thanks for your question. For this unit #77401, do not mix oil with gas. Non-Ethanol fuel is best. Use only clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Use fresh fuel less than 30 days old. To reduce starting problems, add fuel stabilizer to the fuel all season, mixing it with gasoline less than 30 days old. You can view more information on page 13 of the manual at: https://www.toro.com/getpub/219109. Thanks!

Q:how do you change the fluids

    Answer This Question

A:  Hi, Brenda! Thanks for your question. To change the oil for this unit #77401, park the machine on a level surface to ensure that the oil drains completely. Disengage the blade-control switch, and move the motion-control levers outward to the PARK position. Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait for all moving parts to stop before leaving the operating position and drain the oil from the engine. Change the engine-oil filter and slowly pour approximately 80% of the specified oil into the filler tube and slowly add the additional oil to bring it to the Full mark. You can view more information on page 32 of the manual at: https://www.toro.com/getpub/219109. Thanks!

Q:What is the width of the 4 inch Toro Time Cutter ZTR with the Mulching Kit installed?

      Answer This Question

A:  Hi Bob! Thanks for your question. Adding the mulch kit doesn't change the unit's overall width. That said, the dimensions of the unit with or without the mulch kit installed are: 73" (L) x 48.5" (W) x 39" (H). Thanks!

      by|Mar 18, 2024

A:  Did you mean 34" OR 42" ZTR Mower ? = ...34" ZTR actually measures 38.75" due to large rear TIRES...FAR wider than 34" listed.

A:  Hi, Jacko! Thanks for your question. We recommend greasing the front caster wheel bearings every 25 hours. For detailed instructions, please refer to page 29 of the manual: https://www.toro.com/getpub/219109. Thanks!

          by|Mar 19, 2024

A:  N-E-V-E-R answered your rear wheels greasing question at all = These are sealed and only "lubricated" by Transaxles Lube, which are also sealed-for-life / a.k.a. "Throwaways" or Disposables.

A:  Hi, Jimmy! Thanks for your question. These units are identical besides their engines— If you’re looking for more power and speed, we would recommend the 22Hp engine, model #77401. Thanks!

              by|Mar 10, 2024

A:  ? PLUS OR MINUS of 22 hp vs 15 hp engines ? = 2/20 REPLY = I.M.O. = the smaller engine (15 hp) should NEVER be "assembled" nor "sold-at-all." ...almost each and every time, 15 hp engine stalls, stumbles, slows-down, etc.......I wasted my $$$$, for sure.
