I used mine for the intake for central air that is in a closet so the part I liked is you can cut it to the exact size you need.

A:  More than likely if the unit will hold a one inch thick filter. Just cut it to the size of the original filter. If the original filter is is a foam looking filter it may be too thick and it might not have the same filtration factor as the original filter, but it should work just fine if the thickness is not a problem

A:  It is suppose to and probably will be fine . However I have a plastic grid cut to size of my filter that stops it from bulging but this filter is pretty stiff. I had flimsy filter let go on one side and got trash on my coils. this is a stiff filter so if u use it just keep an eye on it it will probably work alright. Clean the filter every 4 to 6 weeks to prevent it from building to much resistance to the air passing through it.

A:  No the weave is not nearly tight enough, it is also very brittle as to make it too uncomfortable to wear. My wife and I have made our masks out of a microfiber hand towel ( my Wife's idea ) folded so it forms a cup my wife saw them demonstrate of the news. I used tyraps bought it Home Depot to secure the straps..(I am an electronic/IT guy not textile engineer or Med Professional so take it for what it is worth) We could not see through the cloth but could breath through it, that was my criteria. Logic not science. I
