Answer This Question

A:  I bought mine a couple of weeks ago. The concrete feels & appears very sturdy.

A:  It's not light weight, but just heavy enough to not blow away in a good wind. I have succulents planted in mine and it sits on an outside table where when the wind blows I have to put my umbrella down. A side note. Good luck getting the label

A:  It’s well made and seems strong enough

    by|Apr 13, 2022

A:  It is plaster, painted concrete color. Do not leave them out in the cold. I had two that crumbled and split over the winter. Not as advertised and very disappointed. For indoor use of lightweight plants.

Q:This product says it safe for herbs, other plants including tomatoes. My concern is there’s a glazing on the inside. I don’t know what is. But need to know is it still safe to be able to put something edible in it.

        Answer This Question

A:  I'm not sure about a glazing. It does absorb a bit of the water since it's unsealed concrete. Maybe a good rinsing before planting would make it fine.

        by|Apr 27, 2022

A:  Since there is no drainage in this planter you should use a plastic or clay pot with drainage hole and insert into planter.

A:  It is concrete mainly. Is fine to have something edible in it.

A:  I see where it says for herbs but it never specifies for edible plants. It specifies for display. "A perfect option for small plants, the three compartments make it easy to display a variety of herbs and succulents." I can't say that it's unsafe but I probably wouldn't put plants that you desire to eat in them. I use mine for succulents. Note worth mentioning. There is no drainage.

A:  I had a similar concern, but I liked the design so much, so I used a square plastic planter with drainage holes and small rocks placed in the bottom.

A:  Overall dimensions are 12x3.75x3.75 — each planting space is about 3.5x3x3. I found it would hold 2-3 smaller succulents in each space.

            A:  Each section is 4" l x 3" w x 3" d. Good for small succulents or mini plants such as orchids.

              Answer This Question

A:  I would think you could. There are 3 separate planting areas which make it rather small space. I planted herbs

              by|Mar 17, 2021

A:  You can plant whatever you want in them. However, just be careful on how much water you put in them as there is no drainage on these. Too much water and the roots will rot and kill the plant.

                A:  Probably too small

                by|Mar 6, 2021

A:  Trailing ivy or pothos should be fine since generally easy to grow anywhere. I have a "King's Choice Ivy" in small vase of water set inside planter until I get some roots started, then on inside bottom of planter will add layer of gravel covered with potting soil and plant rooted ivy.

A:  The prior answer is a good one. Another recommendation is to add some very small stones to the bottom of the planters to provide some drainage.

A:  It appears to be made of cement. As for toxicity I am not an expert. I would imagine it would be fine for many people use clay pots all the time for herb purposes.
