Q:My FLAT-TOPPED 4x4" mail box post needs this to keep birds from resting on it and making a disgusting mess of my mailbox post. They don't like resting on the box...just the top of the post! Thanks!

A: Hello and thank you for your question. The opening for this post top is a true 4"x4", and will fit a 4"x4" post. If you're post is a wood 4x4, it's likely that it will be smaller than a true 4"x4" so this might not fit. If your post is 4"x4", you can attach this post top using either vinyl cement or vinyl fence post top clips (model # 73014080). Hope this helps.

A: it will fit over the mail box post. Use construction adhesive

A: This will work it is precisely why I bought them. It keeps birds off they can’t roost or perch on my deck posts. Easy installation. Will need to add at least 2 screws to secure the sides to the post. Would recommend 4 just to make it look standard. Could be spray painted if needed.
