A:  I replaced these in my Weber a couple years ago, seems I remember having a similar concern with the length not being exactly what I measured my old ones as... My grill was purchased in 1999. I don't see a model number on my grill, but the underside of the main box has 'C-Silver B/C' stamped in the metal just in front of the drip tray... These bars do fit...

A:  Do you have a model name or number? I don't see any Flavorizer bars that are 23.5" long. I don't see any sets of 3 that are over 16". I have a old Genesis Silver C with 3 burner tubes running left to right and it has 5 flavorizers 22.5" long. There is one flavorizer bar over each burner tube and one in between the 3 for a total of 5 flavorizers. It seems, if you only have 3, your BBQ would be about 7"-8" deep or it needs 2 more to fill in the gaps. The 8 "bars" 15.875" front to rear - do you mean the grill surface? A 15.875" bar that is 2.25" X 1.875" is massive bars of steel. That would take forever to heat up. There should be a little lip in the front and back and both sides to sit the grill on. Measure that and get a grill to fit that dimension. Mine uses 2 grill plates to cover the whole thing. Take a picture and add a photo.

A:  I have a Silver B I purchased in 1999... I replaced the flavorizer bars a couple years ago and had no problems with fit. I don't remember the dimensions for the Silver B, but do remember having a similar concern.

A:  Measure one of your old flavorizers length. The length of the flavorizers uyou are asking about is on the HD website. I used the dimensions given compared to the flavorizerss in hand and was happy with the replacement .

A:  These are incorrect. THEY are 27" not the advertised 22.5".

The porcelain enameled coating helps make it easier to clean the flavorizer bars, and also helps the drippings that come into contact with them flow more easily into the grease management system. We do not make any basic steel flavorizer bars. Them come in either porcelain enameled steel or stainless steel. Thanks!

A:  Weber Grills didn't make any basic steel flavorizer bars.

A:  The enamel protects the bar so it will last longer. My original bars lasted 20 years.
