Q:Does this work with a geo thermal heating system?

Answer This Question

A:  I have geo thermal and it works fine.

by|Jan 9, 2020

A:  I am not sure I would probably call the Westinghouse product to check to see if it does cover the Geo thermal system.

    by|Jan 8, 2020

A:  Yes, it will work with a geothermal heating system.

    by|Jan 9, 2020

A:  This heater will work with any system, as long as you have water flow into the unit. I strongly recommend you buy any other brand except for Westinghouse. This Unit I bought failed within a month and could have burned my house down and the manufacturer only paid for the replacement unit and not the second install. Install fee was $400.00 and they requested the unit be installed by a professional and not DIY for them to cover the warranty. I understand it's hard to find a 80 gallon hot water heater, so ask Home Depot for help on alternatives. Good Luck Jean

Q:This is listed as a Commercial HWH. Can it be used in a home? Our old water heater was 80 gallons then we replaced it with a 50 gallon and we run out of water.

A:  Of course. Tall and thin thus does not take up lots of room. I purchased 2 for my very large home so as to never give out of hot water. Owned them for about 3--4 years now i believe.

A:  I installed mine in my home where I also had an 80 gallon heater.

                          by|Mar 11, 2019

A:  there is no wire coming out of the unit. I has a connection box on the unit which is where you run your wires to. this requires 220V single phase wiring. Depending on the wattage of the elements you choose, that will require dedicated circuits of either 13 or 19 amps for each leg. this information is available on the Home Depot site for this unit which includes a PDF of the user and installation manual
