Every craftsman needs rags or cloths of some sort and lots of them. The Precision-Fiber Cloth rags are a good choice of general shop chores. They soak up water instantly and are strong. They can be rinsed and reused. Edges aren’t frayed and they tear like cloth. My first chore was applying wax to my table saw top. Worked like a charm. Stays strong and doesn’t leave little pieces on every steel corner like a paper towel will. Also worked well for applying stain to wood and polish to the kitchen granite counter tops. My only gripe with these rags is not performance but cost. At $23 for 100 (or $.23 ea) you can run through a few dollars in a hurry unless you are reusing a lot. The pic attached compares two “pick a size” Brawny paper towels which are my usual alternative. Two paper towels costs about $.024. While the rags are a somewhat better product, they probably aren’t a hundred times better. I would recommend the Precision-Fiber Cloth rags for situations where cotton like performance is really needed.

The Unbranded paint and cleaning rags are strong, absorbent, link free, and priced right. Start with the small bag but you’ll eventually get the big one. Yes, they are that good.

Useless for applying finishes. Sheds lint like nobody's business. Maybe good for cleanup.

Just what was needed...no lint

These rags are nowhere close to t-shirt cloth. After just a light use they begin to lose their fibers onto the project being wiped with them. Don't waste your money if you are planning to use these for staining or polyurethane type finish.

Thin but big enough to make up for it. Not like some bag of rags I’ve purchased in the past. These are much better.

I love these for painting and general cleanup. They are virtually lint free and very affordable.

Material and size, exactly what I need

try as they might to mislead us, these are just not cotton painters rags. Even the manufacturer doesn't disagree. Their website says "better than cloth rags". Thats them not even suggesting that these are cloth. As the bag says, "absorbent natural fiber, hydro-entangled with strong polymers". Who the heck knows that "hydro-entangled" really means, but "entangled with strong polymers" sure sounds like some mystery fiber mixed with a glue-like or plastic polymer. A year ago HD sold an inexpensive bag of misc. shaped cotton rags, which were great for use with stains, wipe-on varnish, etc. These are a sorry replacement, and have no place in a serious wood shop.

The rags pick up and hold a lot of liquid - paint, cleaning chemicals, water, etc, and without a lot of dripping. These are really a lot better than cutting up old shirts, and I think that I would look for these the next time I need cleaning rags, as long as the price is not prohibitive. I even had a small oil clean up, so I now keep these in the garage as well as the pantry.

These rags are fantastic. I use them for cleaning surfaces before painting or staining, and so it's important that they do not leave any lint. Each one is a good size for working with, and they do not leave lint behind. I also used them for the staining itself, to wipe on and rub in the stain. Worked great. They would also be good for other things, such as cleaning around the house, etc. Comes with lots and lots of rags in the bag.

Let me start by saying, the bag of these seemed like I got way more than a 100 of them in a package. The package is big and heavy. This is good. So I opened them up and took a feel. I was impressed. It feels like a t-shirt yes, but not a fresh out of the dryer t-shirt. What makes this okay is that they are suitable for many tasks, and are lint free. I appreciate the larger size of these rags, and the soft feel of the rag. I'm going to plan to use these not only for painting and cleaning, but also for waxing the car, cleaning the interior of the car, etc.....I used them on a sample spot and found no issues (no scratching, they are soft). Good value, decent size rags, and alot more of value than any other bag of rags I've bought before.

Good cleaning rage that is a good size that you can clean most anything with. The cloth is thick and absorbent. They are lightweight yet absorb very well. You get 100 cloths in the package which will last a long time. A good value for this many rags. You can also wash them out to reuse again. They do not seem to loose and strength after washing and rinsing them out as they still clean well.
