The stringer split when nailing the steps in

These stringers aren't even close to even. In the picture you'll see that all these stringers are sitting right next to each other on the same ground, even on the first step, but by the last step there is over 1/2" of variance between the shortest and tallest. more work than making your own stringers

Exactly what I needed to replace the old rickety two steps on my deck. I used five of these risers for a six foot span of the stairs. Rock solid now.

Very satisfied with my purchase everything fit just fine.

One of the stringers has a large chunk out of it at the back of the first step. For the cost of these I expected a little better product.

The stringers were warped and had variations in the height of the first cut. It took waaay too much of my contractor's time to make them uniform in height, and to position them to avoid adverse impact from the warping. I'm very disappointed in HD's quality and customer Service.

Worked perfectly. Buy 1 for a template and cut the rest

Worked out fine. Some small measurement/cutting as expected,, but now step is up and operational.

Ordered one to see if it would work. Item came early and is in excellent condition even though as others had mentioned, packaging could use a bit more insulation. Don't believe what others had said, the height of the first riser is 5 and 3/4 inches from the the landing. All subsequent risers are 6 and 3/4 inches high. I ordered 3 more and again they all came in excellent condition. Glad I did as this will save a ton of time and money for a diy project

Time saving and true to form

The rise on the first step was one inch shorter than was listed. one of the stringers was weathered and dirty. Worst experience I've had with a product I've ordered from HD

We received 4 step stringer with one corner missing. Found missing piece in the box. If the product was properly packed with packing material protecting product. We would not have to take product back to the store to get refund. Very inconvenient to customers.

We got 3 of these. They arrived promptly. We are very happy with them it was a great purchase. Surprised that there was no damage to them. The price cannot be beat. We highly recommend these 8 step stringers, from homedepot.com Thank you.

They are slightly different than the picture. But these are great! Just what I needed and expected.
