I used this in building a vocal booth for my recording studio. Excellent Sound board, very dense, good sound blocking, easy to work with. A little pricy, but cheaper then most alternatives.

The 2 sheets of Homasote were very badly damaged when they were delivered on August 20. Today is September 11 and we still haven't been credited for the returned product.

It is good quality but poor when you idiots spray black, red, blue lines on finish wood where we have to cut off 1 -2 inches because of the spray lines

I bought this as a workspace for stained glass form. It’s perfect. Pins/nails stay in place, doesn’t crumble easily, sweeps clean of glass shards and splinters easily. Note: size is 48 INCHES by 8 feet (96 inches) NOT 48 feet by 8 feet!!!!!

Its expensive and dose not work, it muffles the sound a little but not much... similar to if I just added another sheet of drywall.

This product makes a great choice as an underlayment on a concrete slab. Not a terribly high R value, but still much better than bare concrete for carpet installation. I've known of this product for many years. The quality is not as good, namely the finished faces have numerous defects and impressions. It would not look too good if you were using it as a finished sound proofing wall panel. The texture seems not quite as soft as it did many years ago, almost like the cheap 1/2" black insulation board that was around many years ago. Overall it is still a good product and worth the investment.

The overall quality of the product was poor. There were dents and dings all over one side of the board so it wasn’t very clean.

I needed this for noise coming across an apartment; however, this did not work because the contractor did not take into account that I have a concrete wall, and failed to install a wall cavity before gluing this to the concrete. The support at Homasote was very helpful. They responded promptly with detailed information on correct installation and useful links.

It was exactly what I was looking for. Your Associate was very helpful. I would definitely recommend your store and will go there again even though it is further away from my house. The Associate at that store was not helpful at all.

Used to sell this for 4 bucks a board until they started calling it sound board, what a joke! It's made of recycled paper and is only a sound proof aid in wall assemblies with multiple layers of drywall. There's way cheaper stuff, don't fall for this.

I use this for a base board on model railroad projects. It's lightweight, easy to cut and drill through, and easily shaped with a sander as well.

Sound travels through air, air gaps and thin materials. Typically your gonna find ripping off your drywall, no or poor insulation on walls,termites ate up your wood and other air gaps. Spray foam your wood, hang your drywall, and usually your good to go.

Used to reduce sound on a train table. Ez to work with and it hold fasteners very well

Great base for a model train. I was able to cut with a mat knife and shape it exactly as needed. Holds track nails well and makes for a solid base for landscapes. Has a big of a funky smell to it, but i'm assuming that will go away after a few days/weeks.

I came in for a piece of sound board and I wanted it cut up. I was told that they don't cut things into pieces, but he was willing to cut it in half so I could get it into my vehicle. I don't remember his name, but the gentleman was very nice and I appreciated his assistance.

I used this to create a sound studio. Much lighter than sheetrock so it's easy to handle. Worked well

Price was a bit steep

This was very good product. AND THE HONME DEPOY EMPLOYEE WAS VERY HELGUL IN THE CUTTING OF THE BOARD TO OUR NEED SIZE.
