Regardless of what it says on the product wrapper about being rust-free, ours eventually rusted. I uploaded a photo of what two of ours look like after 13 years. The one on the left is typical of what most of them look like now. The one on the right is the worst. We bought 10 of them. I am now shopping for replacements but they will be something different than these. I gave them 3 stars because they did last 13 years, although the rusting in the photos has been that way for probably 5 years or more.

The metal top is strong and sturdy, but the plastic vents below façade are a little less secure. Overall, it’s a good looking vent cover and the price is right. I’ve purchased several of them for my living room and they are classy looking.

Love this grate but was surprised there were no mounting holes to secure it in place. I drilled holes using a metal drill bit - but it would have been much better to have them pre-drilled. They look fantastic!

Look good but plastic…so adjusting vents is dubious…not a very good vent system overall as noisy and the number of vents actually seems to restrict airflow
