Grade A Douglas Fir
These Douglas Fir posts were absolutely beautiful and I was amazed at the quality compared to most of the lumber that is being produced now. My local Home Depot doesn’t carry much of a variety so I have to drive 140 miles to get what I need. The Batesville HD is fantastic!

You need work on your wood-cutting game
It took three separate trips to Home Depot to cut this wood. It was a silple cut and a simple request. I literally had to ask four separate times for the same thing and only on the last trip was it done. It was a huge inconvenience and cost me two and a half hours—for a single piece of wood. Just saying, please get your saw game together

HD needs to stock a better grade way to many...
HD needs to stock a better grade way to many splits, gouges, large open knots. Not useable in any project where these posts would be exposed.

I used these for table legs on an old table...
I used these for table legs on an old table top I refinished. I stained and polyurethaned the untreated 4x4s. They look like they were original legs and we saved lots of money.
