I use these for balcony supports with a metal plate...
I use these for balcony supports with a metal plate on the bottom to avoid dry rot through wicking. Always treat the bottom with kilz and caulking before paint to prevent wicking. Only 4 star instead of 5 because you have to cull through 6 or 7 to find one without splits.
