The timbers worked out awesome for the border in our front yard

Used to create a planter area next to our driveway. The timbers are straight and seem to be well treated. Expect them to last a long time. They are definitely HEAVY. I used them two high, overlapped. Fastened them together with 10" screws and held them to the ground by drilling through and pounding in 3' rebar at strategic points. They cut fine with a circular saw plus a saws-all for the final bit. Seem a bit expensive, but everything is expensive these days.

The landscape timbers were straight and solid. They worked perfectly for our project..

The lumber was straight with few knots. I still have to fill the planter box and of course add flowers. Notice that the sides are Trex that slip into slots that I dadoed in the 6x6's. I added shower pan vinyl to the insides to prevent "bleeding" and drainage through the sides. The cables tension the sides together to prevent side swelling as the soil settles.

I was able to find true 6" x 6" pressure treated timber to build a landscape edge/wall between my neighbors yard and mine. These worked great and look even better. I leveled out the area, added in crushed concrete gravel for a base and then staked these in with 3' rebar. This edge/wall is rock solid and I capped it with 2" x 6" pressure treated for a finished/layered look. Home Depot was once again a one stop shop for a great weekend project.

This special order product had a big knot in it and could not be used.

Some of the timbers we bought were bent with a heavy crown. We couldn't use 2 of them because they were so twisted. These timbers are heavy, so take your time in getting to the bottom of the pile.

Got it home to find a large chunk split off a side.

Had 68 I stick could only find 4. All of which had huge splits. Need 4 only took 2 both of which I wasn’t happy with but needed to start the project

The timber material strength, ability to retain its shape (ie no sagging or warping) and long-term weathering performance in my demanding mountain environment are all excellent. The only weakness I found was a slight inconsistency in dimensions. I purchased about 75 timbers and found that the width and height tolerances appear to be + or - 1/4" (with a few as much as 1/2"), and the length tolerance appear to be + or - 1/2" (with a few as much as 1"). I constructed an architectural timber wall that was double thickness (two single walls next to each other and fastened together) and ranged in height from four timbers to eight, and found these timber dimension variances to be very problematic. The good news is that all width and height dimensions remained constant for individual timbers; ie no variance over the length of the individual timber. If you are building a rough wall, no problem with these timbers. However, precise architectural walls require extra time and materials.

They are usually just a little smaller and that i what I needed. I will be bringing it back to see if I can get a 5& 7/8th piece.

Had to pick the best of the worst posts. The ones initially pulled for my order had so many cracks you could pull it apart with your hards.

These are not available too many places so I was grateful they had them. It seems like good quality. Awful pricey though.
