Large Gap
The trim was made to be used with a post sleeve or a lager post. With a standard 4 x 4 post we were left with a large gap that was too big for even caulk.

Inconsistent sizes.
I bought 14 of these and noticed the first one was a bit loose but nothing anyone else would notice. After opening a few more they just got worse. One had a bigger gap than the gap I was trying to cover in the deck.

Too large!
Incorrect sizing. Very unhappy I spent the time painting these to match my white trim and there is a noticeable gap. Not a good product.

The product is oversized for a standard 4x4 treated deck railing upright. It will be returned.

The Post skirt came as two pieces. I Expected it to be one piece not two. I Used contact cement to connect the end piece to the skirt. Otherwise the skirt serves it purpose adequately.

Do Not Meet My Expectations
When installed when installed at the base of a standard 4x4 PT post there is no avoiding a gap on 2 sides of the trim. The amount of time and effort it took to make these look close to acceptable on my deck could have been better spent making my own using a miter saw. Unless you have don't have an issue with ~1/4" gap on 2 sides I would avoid using this product.

It's a nicely designed and made product, but it doesn't fit my treated wood posts. They're 3-7/16 and this product is about a quarter of an inch larger. Would have been great if it fit.

Too big for a 4x4 post, corners are stapled which you can see which is poorly covered with putty

These post skirts have an inside dimension of 3.625 in x 3.625 in, which would fit a nominal 4 in x 4 in wood post (with an actual dimension of 3.5 in x 3.5 in). We recommend filling any gaps between the post and post skirt by applying exterior silicone calking. Delivery, material, and quality of wood and cut are good. However, the internal measures aren't suitable for 4x4 posts. The 4x4 posts sold in TX have actual measures of 3.5x3.5. See picture for actual measures before you buy. For the price, skirts are very good.
