The "Anvil" brand 3-1/4 in. x 9-1/4 in. Aluminum Hand Sander with Wooden Handle is a nice little hand held sander block. Large enough to get quite a bit of sanding done when using orbital, palm or belt sanders are not an option. My sander arrived with both wing nuts and angle brackets to hold the sand paper in place. I need to make a run to my favorite Home Depot to purchase several grades of grit sand paper because I do have a couple of areas that need sanding and repainting. This product will last a long time. Great little product!!!

The Anvil hand sander is a light weight, good quality sander. It has an aluminum base with a rubber mat on the bottom to prevent the sanding material from moving, along with two wing nut clamps that secure the ends of the sanding material. The handle is made of wood and has a smooth finish and is easy to grip. The sander has a large sanding area, 9 1/4 inches long by 3 1/4 inches wide. It was supplied with five fiberglass sanding pads which are easily installed. I used the sander to repair an area around my refrigerator water supply. The large sanding pad made it easy to create a smooth flat surface.

I received this sander as I was repainting handrails that were beginning to peal. It came with five sanding 150 grit screens that attach to the sander. The screens do a great job sanding the wood and it does not get clogged up like normal sandpaper. There is a large handle to grab and the clamps that hold down the screens are easy to use. It made the job of sanding my rails much easier than sanding by hand. I am hoping I can get different grit screens for it.

Attaching sand paper to this aluminum hand sander is a simple as turning two wing nuts. The construction is of aluminum making it lightweight, and with a sturdy wooden handle. It has a nice, very flat bottom surface which makes for smoother sanding. It is made for standard 11.25 inch sandpaper. I found this tool is properly balanced. It should last for a very long time.

Not the best but good for what I need

Special ordered this vis the customer service desk in Ogden. Just what I needed! Delivery and customer service was excellent!

not a good design. the clamps don't provide enough tension to keep paper flat and tight.

Worked well on drywall compound

Excellent device to assist with my sanding needs.

Seems to be cheaply made . I bought it because I needed to finish a job that day . Next time I will shop around for a better one

The foam pad is a little thin and the clamps seem like minimal strength.

Solid construction and fits in the hand well. It can be a little unwieldy as you put on the sand paper but once on stays in place securely. Makes a very flat surface and is excellent for squaring corners.

Pad on the bottom is perfect, the hand is bulk and easy to handle as well. Difficult to load paper as the 2 mounts spin a lot, where-as others have 2 posts so it cannot spin.
