Very easy to assemble! The bulb will definitely throw off heat so be careful not to have it directly over things you don't want to melt or fade.

we needed more light in our living room after the 2 puppies knocked over the floor lamp. This was perfect for the area and the amount of light that we needed.

I was expecting a bit more for what I paid for these. They smack of 1990's halogen lights and are very flimsy at at the stand.

I bought this on special, in fact for the price I bought four of them. two black and two silver. very nice for price, nice looking, makes a great room light, and can easily be used for lighting for taking pictures.

It is a great, tall and adjustable lamp, providing amount of light to your liking.

This lamp is very bright and gives off a lot of light. It is very easy to assemble. That said, the shade is wide, white plastic and looks very cheap. It would be great to light up a dark corner or above a work desk, but it looked tacky in our small den because of the large plastic shade. It was returned.

Nice contemporary floor lamp however very lightweight. Assembled within minutes but lamp does not swivel easily. Provides decent light. Glad I did not pay full price.

There are very few good looking floor lamps at this price point. I purchased two of these a year ago. Really sleek and brightens a room. Swivel allows lamp to point up or down and all points in between. However, it is a one-track swivel and doesn't angle other directions. The real flaw: the switch. The first lamp lasted three months, then the switch locked up. Once we finally got it "on" again, we moved it to a switched outlet. Didn't have that luxury with the second lamp and when its switch locked up, it broke off. I would only recommend this lamp if you use it on a switched outlet.

I purchase three of these lamps for my new home. I mostly bought them for the price but was happy that they actually looked good. I got a black one and 2 silver for the corners of a couple of rooms until i start decorating. The are easy to assemble and are enough light.

This is a simple, inexpensive lamp perfect for use in a basement, office, or area with small children. Cord length is ok, assembly is easy, and the shade is made of a lightweight plastic that seems like it would be resistant to shattering should the kids or pets knock it over.

Easy to assemble. Beware though that this product does not come with any bulbs.

This is a simple lamp. Nothing fancy, but for the price I did not expect anything more. Very easy to put together. The cone portion is plastic, but you cant tell unless you touch it.

The lamp was a great price and really brightens up a very dark bedroom I don't really like the plastic shade, so I put it where it isn't visible in my new bedroom from the door. It works for what I needed and is a great value for the price.

Was disappointed in the looks of this product. Works great as reading lights in the bedroom; a bit of a reach to turn off. It looks best with the light pointed to the ceiling but pointing the light down it is very unattractive. Assembly was very quick and easy.

There is no way that this lamp went for the original price they were asking, and this product is cheap, cheap, cheap.

Product was in too many pieces and cheaply made. I would not want this product in my home.

The lamp was a snap to put together, but if you have short arms, you'll need a helper. It's fairly sturdy and looks good. However, the shade is too big in diameter to really use it as a reading light, since it hits the pole way before it can be bent downward. I would not buy this product again.

This torchiere' lamp was a great deal for the price paid. It was extremely easy to assemble. The lamp is contemporary, stylish and lights the room very well. I think it would be great for any dorm room, study or man-cave that needs a little extra light. I wish it had a little more heft to it, as the lamp's shaft is a bit thin and lightweight, but that was a matter of style and in no way takes away from the unit's functionality. Overall, it's a nice, inexpensive and functional lamp, and I'm glad to recommend it.

I needed a stand up lamp for my living room works great.

i got this lamp for our living room for behind the recliner, I love that the shade swiveld for aimed lighting, and that it aims up or down for directional lighting too. the black color fits into any decor, it stands nicely in a corner too. Easy to assemble,shade is plastic for easy cleaning.

The lamp that was shipped to me was not exactly as shown in the photo. The shade did not point totally straight up, only side angles so could not use the lamp for why it was purchased.

This lamp is very versatile with its flexible head. It's base is heavy enough for the lamp to be quite stable. Easily put together. The shade is incredibly thin, but since it is out of reach, it's not a problem. I bought two. I should have bought a couple more while they were on sale.

This floor lamp looks cheap. It is wobbly and not sturdy. The shade is plastic with black printing on it. I would never buy this lamp again and I do not suggest that anyone buy this floor lamp.

The piece was easy to assemble and works fine. It fits in well with our decor. And it is bright.

When I purchased these lamps my #1 reason was the value but when I received them I was very surprised & impressed with the adjustability of the lamp part most of them are limited to an up & down or side to side only positioning but with this lamp the positioning is limitless!! It's like my own personal spotlight!! I love it!

I really like this lamp because the shade can be adjusted to shoot light up or down. Perfect for reading or lighting up the entire room.
