Beautiful fan. This fan will go with any design. It has a nice gray look with brushed nickel hardware. The light is built in. It’s not a bright daylight white color but a softer shade of white in the yellow family. It fits proportionately a good size room.

easy install
I picked this ceiling fan because of the design but i was leery because of the reviews in reference to insulation. A lot of the reviews stated that this fan was hard to put together but if you FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS it is not difficult at alll. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE BLADE ARMS UNTIL YOU HAVE THEM INTO PLACE. LOOSELY tightened then first, make sure the blade arm are all aligned, then tighten everything down.

    Buyer beware
Bought one cause we liked the looks of it. Started the assembly, and the screw heads to hold the fan blades on are too small. Called tech support, they don't open till 7:00 am PST by the way. He said first he had heard of that. I sent him a picture. He said take it back and get a new one. I did, opened the box and checked the screws, exact same issue. At least I hadn't started the install on this one...

      Beautiful and good quality
This is a modern and beautiful fan. I can’t comment on the assembly because I had a contractor to complete the install. I would definitely recommend it.

        Tough-ish Install but worth it.
A little tedious to put up, but not awful. Had a back ache the next day from time spent on the ladder. Wonderful upgrade to the fan that was installed when my home was built. Blend in very nicely with our decor. Very quiet and great air flow. Would not hesitate to buy again.

worst assembly experience I have ever had on a ceiling fan
the most beutiful fan I've ever purchased. and that's about all I can say about this product. securing the blades to the motor took me two hours, ad it wasn't until I came here to read reviews that I saw others had the same issue. removed the entire unit and laid it flat to install the blades. re-hung, turned on. light works fine, fan only works in the lowest setting. so, im returning this nightmare fully asselmebeld for a refund.

This is stunningly nice ceiling fan. It is whisper quiet. It is controlled with a 6 speed remote control with a dimmer that can be turned off. It comes complete with all the hardware and instructions that are fairly easy to follow. The fan blades have a nice design that will add to the movement to any large room. The center light is LED that are bright but can be dimmed if necessary.

A stylish, quiet, fashionable ceiling fan. This item come's complete with hardware and instructions. It's lightweight, with a six speed remote. It was fairly easy to install but would recommend a second person for easier installation. Requires a screwdriver and wire cutters for installation. Perfect for circulating the air in a large room with the 56 inch blades. The light is bright and is also able to be dimmed.

          great fan
Great Fan, do your self a favor, install the blades prior to hanging. I tried and was not successful. The hole on the last blade was about a quarter hole off. I finally took it down and had to use a "C" clamp to line up the wholes. After reinstalling the fan works great, no noise and no wobble. I will buy another because of the looks and performance.

To me this fan looks like an aircraft propeller. It is a very good quality but it is tedious to put together vs normal looking fans. The metal finish is a very nice brushed nickel that gives an awesome look when fully assembled. The light is a bright LED that is just bright enough and not over powering. The fan is controlled by a remote that is included and very easy to use. I recommend this fan if your looking for a unique look.

This 56" Aire Minka Sky Parlor Fan/Light is very attractive and works beautifully from a hand-held, programmable remote control. The five nicely-designed blades are adjustable in one of two directions. The light is also dimmable. The estimated yearly energy cost of running this state of the art fan is $8. There is one Caveat when installing this fan. It is difficult in that the blade holder assembly directions say to install the blades once the fan was assembled and hung. I did not do that. I installed the blades prior to hanging the fan. The pictures shown in the product review are shown with a 24" downrod (sold separately) instead of the small downrod that is included with the fan.

This is an update to my previous review, after taking the fan back down to figure out why it was ticking as it was turning. As it turned out, it was the ground wire that was rubbing up against the fan blades as they were turning. See pics. Also installation is WAY easier if you put the fan blades on before mounting the unit to the ceiling.

I needed to replace an older ceiling fan and I felt this 56” Aire by Minka ceiling fan to be a great match. The installation went smoothly and the instructions were clear. The fan had all the required hardware and the remote is nice. The 20W LED light is dimmable and the ceiling fan can move 6,414 cubic feet per minute of air at high speed. I am very pleased at the quality, fan performance and the lighting brightness.

First I would compliment this fan based purely on the appearance and the fact it is different from other fans as the blades instead of lying flat are curved like a boat’s propeller. If you like modern gadgets you will love this fan. The grayish brown color of the blades is pleasing and the span being 56 inches it can cool a large master bedroom like mine very effectively. I hate giving bad reviews but based on the complexity of assembly and installation I cannot honestly recommend this fan. There are other sharp looking modern fans that are easier to assemble and install and I have three of them. Unless you are a DIY type with three hours to spare or have $200 - the cost of the fan - to pay a master electrician you will not like the cumbersome process of putting this fan together. As a senior citizen I don’t like climbing ladders and cannot carry heavy loads. Also I hired a handyman who charged me $100. Fortunately he knew that the blades need to be attached first before fixing the fan on the ceiling. Doing that took several hours and he lost his temper several times. As already mentioned by another reviewer the metal blade holders that attach to the five blades don’t all sit flush with each other. Some attachments have gaps some don’t (see picture). Maybe it is because of this the blades wobble. After installing the fan it look a long time to get the cover plate on the ceiling to sit flush. I had to call another person to do it. The remote is a good feature but unlike other fans it takes several seconds after pressing it for the fan to come on. Sometimes it does not come on at all and you have to try many times. The worst part was when turned on the fan made loud thudding noises that sounded pretty awful. The installer said the noise will go away after 24 hours according to the instructions. It has been more than that and the noise is still there. The installer offered to come and redo the installation. But that would mean another 3 hours, maybe more, because he may have to take apart the blades and reassemble them. I am at this point not sure I have another three plus hours of my life to spend on a fan. I am using a pedestal fan and keeping this fan switched off. May be some day I will replace it with a simpler fan. I have three other modern fans with remote controls and integrated LED lights but they all took less than an hour each to install. Buy this fan if you have the time or can spend money on an electrician.

Sky Parlor 56 IN. Integrated LED indoor burnished nickel ceiling fan with light Aire by Minka is totally awesome. Your skill level should be in the mid level range because of the electrical connections, which is a snap three wires Black, White and Green. I was lucky because I already had a ceiling fan box already in place and I did not have to do the cut and patch. I would like to state for the record that I hate popcorn ceilings. One should have a second set of hands when installing the fan blades or your arms will get tired. The fan looks great but I might add a fan medallion and scrape the popcorn off the ceiling. The fan is quiet and puts out an awesome breeze at all speeds. You need the remote to operate this fan which is okay when you’re in your lazy boy and watching the NFL. The Remote has six settings for speed and has a up and down buttons for dimming the light also it has a reverse direction for heating or cooling seasons. You really need to read the instructions provided to set up the remote. I would highly recommend this Fan and light combination.

We recently ordered and received the 56 in. indoor ceiling fan made by Aire Minka. The design is modern. Personally, it was a little to modern for our taste, but I did go ahead and install it in our sunroom. I have installed more than 10 fans in our house, and many for friends and neighbors. My point being, this fan was the most difficult I have encountered in regard to installation (blades to motor). I had read another review stating the same thing, but I dismissed it as being an individual that didn’t have a lot of experience installing ceiling fans. Everything in the review I read was basically true. The installation went smoothly until I started placing the fan blades on the motor. I am not going to get into a lengthy description, but I had to take the fan down from the ceiling mount to finally get the blades attached to the fan motor. I attribute this to poor workmanship. In addition to the difficult fan blade attachment, when observing the rotation, you can see that the metal fan blade holders are not all identical, again, poor workmanship. After finally getting the fan in place and programming the remote control, the fan ran smoothly on all speeds, but above a setting of 3, the fan exhibits a low decibel humming noise which I find completely unacceptable. Perhaps I received a “lemon”, but I most definitely would not recommend this fan. I hate placing a bad review, but hopefully it may help someone avoid the frustration and disappointment I experienced with this fan.

This Sky Parlor model 04613 56 in. Aire (by Minka) ceiling fan is an excellent ceiling fan. I wanted to replace my old ceiling fan (which still worked fine) that was originally installed about 17 years ago with a more modern or contemporary look. I needed a fan for a large room and with a good light. Fan manufacturers include a 6” down rod which is useless for an 11’ ceiling height. This fan came with a 6” down rod. I needed an 18” down rod. The finish on this fan is “vintage nickel”. There was no “vintage nickel” down rods sold in local stores or on line. The first step was to find a matching finish down rod. I took a close-up photo of the 6” down rod and went looking. I was able to find a “brushed nickel” finish which was reasonably close to “vintage nickel” and I purchased an 18” brushed nickel down rod to hang the fan. As installed, the brushed nickel down rod looks like it came with the fan. The fan looks great and works great. Operation is very quiet and there is excellent air movement even at the lower speeds. The fan blades are ABS rather than wood. The blades attach to the motor assembly with screws in a vertical pattern rather than horizontal; so I installed the blades to the motor housing before hanging the fan. The fan motor assembly and related parts are lightweight so it was not difficult to hang the assembled fan with blades attached. The 20 W integrated LED light is bright enough to light the room and is also dimmable. The light is incorporated into the bottom of the motor housing to create a smooth and uniform appearance. The fan and light are controlled by a remote control. The receiver is built into the motor assembly and there is no need to wire a separate receiver. Once the remote is “programmed” it operates smoothly. There is no wall control. As such, if you are replacing an old fan with existing wall controls (like me) this requires some modification of the existing wall wiring to remove the old fan/light controls. Actually, I prefer a wall control system over remote control, but it seems many fan manufacturers are going to the remote system. If I had a choice I would stay with the wall controls, but Minka Aire makes a good remote with all of the control features. You have to remember that a remote operates off of a battery, and eventually the remote battery will have to be changed. The fan has six speeds and is reversible by the remote. I had a noticeable wobble with the fan speed on 6 (highest). I rarely use the highest fan speed, but it still bothered me since the fan is so nice otherwise. So, I used the supplied balancing kit to reduce the wobble to a small and acceptable condition. I now have two Minka ceiling fans, different models, and I really like both of them.

I wanted a ceiling fan in my master bedroom, which is only 189 sq ft. Some fan size guides say a 42” to 48” would suffice, but I wanted to move more air at a lower speed, so I opted for a larger fan. No matter how ‘quiet’ a fan is designed, you will always get less noise at a slower speed. Prior to installing this fan, I installed a retrofit ceiling fan saf-T-brace (model# 0110000). It is important that a fan has the proper support. Everything is in the box – screws (even extra), wire nuts, and batteries for the remote, so you won’t have to run to the hardware store to get it installed. The instructions are clear and easy to follow with all the parts identified. It will take about an hour to an hour and a half to install. I was concerned with 8’ ceilings that this fan would be two large, but happily that is not the case. This fan looks better installed than on the website. My husband said it reminded him of an airplane. The color will go with almost every finish – brushed nickel, black, chrome – and a wide variety of styles. It is very quiet and only on the highest speed do you get any noise but the sound of the blades/air makes it not noticeable. Though the fan has six speeds, you can’t really tell a huge difference between each speed and at its highest, it doesn’t spin super-fast (see video). The fan is perfect for our bedroom, but I don’t know if I would install this in a room where I wanted to more air movement. I installed the Wayword 56” Fan (model # 04651) in my family room – same size, but it moves more air because of the Motor speed which is 199 versus 141 of this fan. I really like this fan and it suits my needs in my master bedroom. I have had a really good experience with Aire-a-Mnka products over the years and would not hesitate to purchase another fan from this company.

Let me start by saying the Sky Parlor Ceiling Fan overall is wonderful. I'll start with the numerous positives: the DC motor is absolutely, pin-drop quiet; it has 6 speeds each in forward and reverse; the fan direction can be changed from the remote (no need to pull out a ladder to change the fan direction); the look is very stylish and contemporary; it weighs much less than normal ceiling fans; the LED light is bright, soft white, and fully dimmable from the remote. Also, if you turn it off at a wall light switch, it resumes the same speed/light setting when the switch is turned back on!! That said, there is ONE very negative thing: the attachment of the fan blades/brackets to the motor was beyond frustrating!! I completely understand and appreciate the seamless look/concept, but the fact is that just a small design tweak of the brackets could have completely simplified the attachment without compromising the look. It literally took two people almost two hours to finally wrangle the 5 blades/brackets into place. In fact, we ultimately had to take the fan down and turn it upside down to finally get the blade brackets attached to the motor properly. I absolutely love everything about this fan now that it's finally installed, and I do highly recommend it (as long as you're up for a "battle with the blades"), but I must also say that I would not buy another one only because of the blade attachment issue.

AIRE A MINKA GROUP DESIGN SKY PARLOR CEILING FAN - - quality, style and energy efficiency all in one! This is my fourth Aire Minka designed ceiling fan and I have to say I am a big "fan" of Aire products, their ceiling fan designs and quality are in my opinion one of the best. My first Aire Minka fan is now more than 18 years old and it is still working perfectly. The newer Aire fans are more compact and have a more modern design and each one, including this Sky Parlor are not energy efficient but tare efficient at pushing a good bit of air considering their size. I installed this in a 12 x 18 ft loft area and the 56 inch size was perfect The Sky Parlor is different than your everyday ceiling fan. For starters, this fan has a modern, sleek design and includes an integrated 20 W LED light and remote control. The thing that stands out the most are the five curved aerodynamic blades. Most of the older fan designs have straight blades made of processed wood, the Sky Parlor has five blades made of ABS plastic which make them lightweight and efficient. The color in the advertisement is a little deceiving, the color of the blades is more gray and the housing is burnished silver. The air movement on low is 2452 CFM (cubic feet per minute) and on high is 6414 CFM which is at least 40-50% greater than your average fan. This fan also includes an integrated LED light with an Energy Star rating and a 6 speed remote control with reverse mode, both of which are often not included or must be purchased separately in other brands. A remote by itself can run $25 to as much as $50 so it is really nice that Minka includes the remote control with the fan. I idon't often do my own electrical work, especially a ceiling fan, but my electrician said the installation of Aire Minka fans is easier than your average fan, he said it was fairly lightweight (about 17 lbs) and he said the motor housing and wiring were very straightforward. He didn't even have to look at the instructions! Total installation took less than an hour. In the end I was very happy with the results, it looked great with my décor and had great air movement. It was also very quiet at both the lower and higher settings and it didn't wobble at all. Just a side note, once this fan is installed it is necessary for the fan and remote to perform a one time self calibration which takes about 6 mins. The electrician did not appear to have any issue with the remote and fan pairing This fan has a lifetime limited warranty and their Customer Support is in California. I highly recommend the Aire Minka Sky Parlor fan. It has everything you would want in an indoor ceiling fan, it is very nice quality, it is very easy to install and it has a modern design with great air flow and is ultra quiet. If you are looking for a ceiling fan with a more modern design I think the Sky Parlor is worth considering.

This fan is beautiful in our rustic/industrial decor and absolutely silent. We run it on setting 2 or 3 and get plenty of air movement. I was able to handle installation myself and I am so not an electrician. Replaced a 30 year old builder's special and wow! What a difference! We have a high, angled ceiling and the fan is installed with a 36" 3/4" downrod purchased separately. The ceiling is 12.5' where the fan is located.

This is a very sharp looking ceiling fan. I love the curved blades and the burnished nickel finish. Installation was a breeze up until installing the last blade. It was super difficult to get it to fit. I even loosened the screws on the adjacent blades but the screws are so short that I couldn't loosen them enough without them falling out. I ended up having to take the whole fan off the ceiling and put it upside down on the floor in order to get the last blade in. My suggestion would be to install the blades first before attempting to attach it to the ceiling. Other than that, the fan is great. It's super quiet even at the highest speed. There's significant air flow. I wish the light was a bit brighter. It has a dimmer but even at the highest level it's not bright enough, in my opinion, to light up a whole room. You would need additional lighting. If it weren't for the installation issue and the not so bright light I would give it 5 stars.

Beautiful ceiling fan with a nice bright LED light. Installation took me around 3 hours because I was taking my time. Please note that in some ways it is simpler to mount the motor and then screw in the fan blades. That's what the instructions suggested anyway. But that part was not as easy as I thought it would be. I like the light, but also note that the light is built in and not exactly changeable. You can't simply just change a bulb. The color of the light is more cool than warm, but I like it like that. This fan also has SIX speeds and a remote control. The remote control signal can be adjusted simply from the remote control... no need to fiddle with dip switches in the base of the ceiling fan! One strange thing is whenever the fan is turned on, the blades kind of hesitates back and forth before consistently spinning. Other than that, it works great and at max speed generates quite a breeze.

This is a great looking fan: very modern looking/love the brushed nickel finish. The 56 inch effective blade diameter can and does move a lot of air. The installation instructions were reasonably clear but still took me just over an hour to install...this time was heavily impacted by where I installed (high ceiling...see picture) it. Not a big fan (pun intended) of remote control and the one that came with our fan seems to respond very sluggishly.

Overall I find this to be a great fan with integrated LED dimmable light. Inspection of contents revealed two Aire (A Minka Group) remotes, but no instructions. In the recent past, the receiving unit for the remote control unit consisted of a bulky item that barely fit within the ceiling mount. My first conclusion was that this item is missing. However, the wires extending from the motor included an antenna. This is a very nice improvement over the previous separate receiver. Assembly looked straight-forward but just to be on the safe side I went to the item at the Home Depot site, quickly located and downloaded the instructions. Since my home has two other "Aire" brand fans it required a random change in the dip switches. While the instructions stated the "Learn Frequency" process lasted 6 minutes, in my case it ran for about one minute in one direction only, then stopped. However, the remote did successfully mate with the receiver in the fan and all of the remote controls work as they should. This fan is not just stylish and energy efficient but very functional as well. The price seems a bit high compared to similar items.

We have a 20 x 20' play room for the kids upstairs that needed a good ceiling fan. We wanted an efficient one as it will run all the time in Texas on the second floor. This Aire Minka Sky Parlor ceiling fan has a very efficient DC motor and when used on medium speed daily will only consume $8 of electricity all year. This is way more efficient than older fans. It is bigger than most fans and moves a lot of air in our largish playroom. I only had one slight negative comment, in order for the seamless outside appearance, screwing in the last fan blade take some work. You have to loosen adjacent blades and wiggle it all together as one monolith piece then screw all the blades tight. Took about twice as long as most fans. It does look very good once you are done. No wobbles and runsvery quiet.

This is a really nice looking fan, The burnished finish on the metal surfaces really accents the grayish finish of the blades. Overall, it looks great. It's unfortunate that the blades are extremely easy to scratch. I had 1 arrive scratched and I ended up scratching one myself. Good thing that while the fan is turning (24/7) you can't see the scratches. Installation was difficult for me but some of that was accessing the location to work in. Large table underneath the fan. The instructions weren't very clear. There is a lot of room for interpretation. Not a fan of the installation. nice looking remote with holster. Once up, it works fine. It really moves a lot of air. On any speed including high, the fan is solid as a rock. There is no wobbling at all. The light is easily adjusted by pressing and holding the button until it's at the level you want. The light is very bright too. One thing they missed is an indicator of some sort to let me know what speed it is set on. If I want to increase or decrease the fan speed, I'm guessing the speed it's on and blindly pressing buttons to get what I want. I would recommend this fan but it wouldn't be my first choice

The Sky Parlor Ceiling Fan from Aire by Minka is a great fan. I easily installed into the room we use for exercise in about an hour. The fan was simple to assemble. The Burnished Nickel finish is very on trend. My wife loves the twisted look of the blades. No longer are we staring at those faux wood paddles from our last fan. Once we turned it on we knew we selected the right fan. This fan comes with a six speed remote. The air movement is exceptional. We almost never need to turn it on to the highest speed even while exercising. The fan is silent even at high speed. It also has an LED light kit that you can dim with the remote. The light delivers more than enough light for the room. This is the best fan purchase we have ever made.

This AIRE A MINKA GROUP DESIGN SKY PARLOR 56 IN. INTEGRATED LED INDOOR BURNISHED NICKEL CEILING FAN WITH LIGHT is a great upgrade to any space. Install was very easy & straightforward. especially since the remote module is built in to the fan. the fan moves a LOT of air. The remote offers 6 different fan speed control as well as reverse.. no more needing to get on a ladder to change the direction switch. You can dim the Bright LED easily with the remote. i am very happy with this fan.
