I have primarily used old toothbrushes and other types if brushes to clean mildew from grout in the shower. Toothbrushes, of course, aren't tough enough for the job as they shouldn't strip the enamel from your teeth! These brushes made a tedious job SO much faster. The shape of the handle is ergonomic (didn't hurt my wrists or fingers) and is angled right for getting into corners easily as well. Toothbrushes are useless and flattened partway through the job, but the HDX brush held its bristle shape throughout the hard scrubbing. It still looks like new next the one I haven't used yet. I bought two because I thought they would wear down like everything else I've tried and I wanted to see how well they performed. Definitely worth the price.

good little brush

The grout brush is sturdy. Bristles are firm and did not rub down after a lot of cleaning. It was not harsh on the grout. I did not have to do a lot of hard scrubbing.

I don't have a lot of experience cleaning grout, but this brush seams to work fine. The Brussels are stiff enough to do a good job of cleaning without being too stiff and damaging the grout. I like the way the brush feels in my hand. You can hold it firmly, and your hand doesn't suffer too much strain when doing extended cleaning. It works great on back splashes, and in the shower. But there has to be a better way to clean the grout lines between floor tile!

This is a very good grout brush, I used it for cleaning the thin-set from in between the glass tiles and porcelain tiles. If you have small tiles that are attached to a mat then you know how difficult it can be to get all the grout lines clean and to keep the thin-set from pushing up through the gaps. Yes a damp sponge helps if you wipe down the tiles however there is always going to be some oversight. this brush work well to do intricate clean up of those lines.

Excellent product, well designed for the intended purpose. I've tried scrub sponges on grout, but they shred too easily, and I've tried toothbrushes, but they just aren't stiff enough. This grout brush has extremely stiff bristles, and it's also a very convenient size for holding (another brush I tried is too narrow, making it uncomfortable). The one thing I would say is that the brush head is pretty wide, so if you're cleaning narrow grout grooves (like you'd find in a shower), you're going to be scrubbing the side of the tiles too, and very fragile tiles could potentially get scratched over time due to the stiffness of the brush.

If you have tile, you should have one of these. I had been scrubbing my grout with a toothbrush and sometimes a scrub brush, but they just weren't getting the job done. So, I decided to try a grout brush. This little brush is perfect for the job! The bristles are just hard enough to scrub the grout without damaging it, and it has a nice rubber coated handle to prevent slipping. It also has a nice ergonomic shape that allows you to comfortable handle it while scrubbing the grout. I like to take mine in the shower with me and do some quick grout scrubbing. You could also make a paste of baking soda and water and really give your grout a good cleaning.
