It is not very good.

If used as directed, turning it 90 degrees then back and forth slowly, the clamp broke and I removed the clamp still attached to the removal tool by pulling it.

Either head that comes with the tool wouldn’t fit over my pinched clamps.

Why did they make this? More people out to steal money off of others? It breaks the clamp part that is squeezed but the other part stays clamped to the pex and it moves all around and disturbs the surrounding tubage.

Just a twist away from band removal on a pex connection..... easy to use

This PEX clamp removal tool, probable works well with piping that uses brass fittings and is well secured. I bought it to remove clamps in my travel trailer, flex piping connected with plastic fittings in a tight space. Due to the force needed to remove the clamp it broke two of the fittings. I finally used a Dremel with a metal cutting wheel. The tool is well built and being able to attach the removal tool to a ratchet is a plus.

Not worth the money, takes 4 times as long to remove clinch clamps with it.

It works at breaking the crimp seal, but I still have to use needle nose pliers to actually pull it apart. Would be nicer if it was one tool/motion and done.

This tool worked quite well for removing the old PEX connector so I could replace the damaged section of tubing.

Have not used it yet. Had difficulty using side cutters before this purchase.

PEX tools, clamps and accessories are very confusing for the uninitiated. HD does not do a very good job in identifying the multiple waus of connecting PEX and the different tools involved. Pinch clamps or crimps are very different from round clamps and require very different tools.

Very difficult to use, it may break the clamp, but does not remove it, still had to cut the PEX.

I returned it.....it was not usable in tight areas and left the job of opening the clamp difficult to accomplish.

Did the job to remove the pinch clamp but the clamp doesn't always remove easily from this device. Wish they had a way of storing the 2nd head to the removal tool...i can see it getting lost easily

Reviews for this product are either 5-Stars or 1-Star with many comments that a good pair of pliers work just as well. Strangely enough all of these reviews are accurate. To be used correctly, this tool must be used gently. Slip the head of the tool over the crimped part of the clamp and gently twist the handle clockwise or counter clockwise from a position of 12 o'clock to 12:15. This action breaks the stainless steel crimp enough to easily slip the clamp off the pipe. Using too much force or rotation will jamb the broken parts of the crimp against each other and dig it into the pipe resulting in having to use a pair of pliers to remove the clamp. So in summary, this tool if used with maximum force and rotation is a complete waste of money, but if used gently with minimal rotation is an easy solution to clamp removal. It needs to be said that correct use of the PEX Pinch Clamp Removal does not ever actually remove the clamp, all it does is break the clamp. After you slip the removal tool off, the user must slide the clamp off the pipe because it still forms a ring around the pipe, but it is loose enough to easily slide off. What I find absolutely amazing is that the company marketing this tool has failed to explain or demonstrate its correct use leaving a lot of angry customers leaving negative reviews. If I owned the Apollo Tool Company, I would immediately fire anyone involved in the marketing of this tool.

It doesn't work.You have to also have pliers handy because when you twist to break it off, the pinch part jams. In an effort to remove it you might damage the pipe. Not a helpful tool. I used it for an inground sprinkle PB pipe. I'm returning it.

I originally thought I could do without it, but in the end I had to travel back to my nearest Homedepot and actually buy it. I would definitely recommend it.

For the price,, i could have just used a good pair of pliers.
