The unit is attractive but the install is a nightmare as the directions are lacking on part id and dimensions. The drawings are so small and the printing is next to impossible to read. The design for the ventless is very poor as the housing they sent(black plastic) is not a match to install. could not use it. Wasted $58.00. In the box the glass was already assembled bout the instructions tell you to put it together after ins tally supports. Makes no sense. Dose not say to remove and reinstall it. Very confusing.Run from this product. I wish I could send it back.

We love the look and features of our new range hood. But when we had it installed, there were parts missing from the box. The stainless steel cover support brackets are missing so we can't install the cover, so the unit is hanging in our kitchen naked and incomplete. After being bounced around and given 3 different phone numbers, I finally got someone on the phone and ordered the parts, 2 weeks ago. I have not heard anything since then. Even though we love the look of the hood( whenever it finished). I wound not recommend this product because of the missing parts and the poor customer service in trying to obtain the parts.(still waiting).

have not moved into house yet,but had already hired someone to come and put in and the stainless had a pit in i had to go ahead and put up cause the were the ones to take out of box. they saw but did not have time for me to call store and get a replacement. I feel there should b some compensation for something to b new but have a flaw as this one does.

I bought this from homedepot and installed it myself. I had no problems installing, but after the long install the fan inside was broke. I did not care I will just order a new one but they no longer make the product. So what do I do. I already have the unit installed and how do you sell something that has no replacement part.

I bought this from Home Depot, paid alot of $$ to get this installed, very hard install... Turns out this did not work from the beginning, called Arieta for service since it was still under warranty, this was like 5 weeks ago, they do not have anyone that can service this in the area.. The wantted to ship a brand new one but I have pay for the install again.. Arieta has horrible service, they say they will call you back and they NEVER do. The fan itself is gorgeous..if you want it for looks only, its an awesome product, if you expect to use it DONT BUY IT...

I keep reading reviews that state it is hard to install. It's not hard to install if you have the right tools. I used a duct lift (the kind an AC installer uses) and installed it by myself. It probably took me one day and that is only because it was a new house and I triple checked before I cut the hole in our ceiling. There are just not a lot of contractors out there with a lot of this type of experience. That's why I installed it myself. I did have my electrician wire it and my AC guy installed the flue. I did install the round flue before I mounted it, so all he had to do was connect to the roof vent. You can rent a duct lift from many rental companies. They make different sizes and it doesn't take a huge one. My ceiling is 10'. Good luck and one of the lights went out. Not bad after 5 years since installed. I use them a lot when cooking. I highly recommend this hood.

I was leary about this hood after reading some of the comments about how difficuclt it was to install. After realizing more parts were needed, my contractor went to the closest Home Depot, 30 miles away, to get them. Upon getting there he was unable to get them at Home Depot and had to go to the other big box home store to find them. Once he returned he had no problem installing the hood. I was very disappointed in the time frame it took to get the hood, 3 weeks. Home Depot did give some concessions, however, something to keep in mind if you are on a time schedule.

the dust covers were impossible to install as designed because the metal stamping was clearly defective. I would not buy this unit again.

This is a beautiful model and very easy to install. The noise level on high is a bit much. My disapointment came a few months after installation when it suddenly stopped working entirely. After several calls to service centers I learned that this is a known occurrance, they would not tell me how common but knew that the electrical board fails. They promised to ship me a replacement board. Hope it works for more than a few months

Good hood for the money.Assembles like a erector set if anyone remembers that toy. The clock should have a battery backup,but it's a good product.

Stylish and the best. Very nice and gets a lot of compliments from friends

Excellent product so far. Only complaint is that my husband is 6ft. and he hits his head on corner b/c it has to be a certain distance from stove....and can't go higher.

I have a island range hood which pops out, it was not helping then we replaced it with this, it is what I was looking for. I am very happy with the product, and happy with HOME DEPOT for carrying such good product.

Love the range hood. It was delivered quickly and in great condition. Love the way it looks above the island in my kitchen.

Very modern appearing. Replaced hanging cupboards that separated kitchen from family room. Room now appears as one. Somewhat difficult to install.

I had read reviews that it was difficult to install, so I was cautious, but the quality reveiws were so good, I took a gamble. My husband had it up, vented and working within 2 hours after we received it. And it's beautiful and the fan draws well. The high fan speed is a little loud, but I'm sure it will do the job, should we ever need such a powerful draw. I'm lovin' it!

This product was shipped to me as someone else's return, rather than 'brand new'. It had no manual or directions in the box either, but we were able to go online and find them. It appeared to be in tact and because it takes money to get it and my contractor there to install, we decided to go ahead. Everything was there, but once up into our duct and assembled we realized the dashboard just below the glass hood was slightly bent and/ or not flush. No way to know until then. I called a couple weeks ago and they promised to send a replacement dashboard. Product works, save the slightly tilted dashboard ... still waiting on the dashboard replacement @ two weeks. This is in no way a reflection on Home Depot, which has otherwise been great to work with.

I simply love this product. Was pretty easy to install, I had a contractor do it, but watched the whole time, was very heavy, but it was completly worth the price and effort. Fan is very powerful, sucks up all odors. When were cooking something you can't smell it in any other area of the house unless your standing right in front of stove. Very modern looking, so glad we bought this.

This product enhances the appearance of the kitchen and works very well.

This is a beautiful range hood. It makes the kitchen look so modern and cool. I am very pleased. Everyone comments on how pretty it is. It was a bit difficult to install, but it was worth the effort. Amazingly cool!

I have a lot of experience with major home remodeling projects and installing this hood was a major challenge. The instructions combine too many steps without clear pictures to reference. The metal edges are very sharp and cut through two pair of heavy gloves during assembly. The cover fit is very difficult and required many attempts to get the locking to engage properly (and more cuts to gloves and hands). However once installed, the unit is great. It looks good, has quiet and powerful exhaust and provides good lighting. It would have great lighting if there was a multilevel instead of simple on/off control. I would recommend the unit but strongly suggest you have it professionally installed unless you are a very experienced DIY-er and extremely patient.

My wife and I purchased this unit for our home in Lake Arrowhead, We have an island stove and while remodeling the kitchen found that we had a lot more room then we thought in the ceiling. We found this unit and thought it would really make the upgrade to the kitchen (originally built in 1978) come into the twenty first century. Our contractor had a really hard time with this install. The unit is heavy and it is bolted into the ceiling of the kitchen. We went with the recirculating rather than ducted install as we do little real frying. It took our contractor and three other men to install the unit. It also took all day to do. This is not a zip and it is up type of unit. The unit wiring is not east to access and the instructions for installing the unit are horrible. My contractor commented that he didn't know he would need an engineering degree to install this unit. In the end they did get it installed and it looks awesome! However be prepared for a long hard install if you buy this. Also I would not recommend that you install this yourself.

.Have had several comments about how attractive it is. Fan is very quiet. Installation of the side covers was difficult for our contractor. Price was a little more than we expected.

This is a very good vent for an island or galley kitchen. It is quite and has an excellant suction for removing smoke and smells from the stove. I am very glad I found this and would recommend it very highly. The price was reasonable for the superior job it does. It was a little bit hard to install, but worth it (our existing vent hole in the ceiling was off a little, making it necessary to buy a flexible pipe for it).

Read a number of reviews on this hood indicating installation was horrific and instructions were worse. Since it was to be installed by HD as part of a major kitchen remodel, figured the problem would be theirs not mine, so went ahead. Reviews were right - took over two hours for two experienced electricians to get the thing assembled and in, and that was compounded by a missing bag of hardware. Good response on the 800# included and parts are on the way. Install problems aside, the hood is gorgeous, multiple fan speeds seem to cover most needs, and the lighting is excellent. As of day one, it appears to be a keeper. As unglamorous as a hood is by nature, this really complements the remodel and is a plus not a detraction. Just don't plan on doing yourself or quickly unless you have significant experience.

Installation would be very difficult if you have only average mechanical skills. Item is of good quality looks very nice and seems to be working very well so far Price was quite good compared to other island hoods on the markeT Delivery went okay
