The door arrived at the store in perfect condition with all of it's parts. My contractor has no issues installing them in my basement. I would definitely recommend them and I will purchase them again as my projects continue.

Door was easy to install. Only criticism about the product is it should have been primed, not bare metal.

Happily surprised these Fire Doors came with spring loaded hinges that were not described in my online purchase. These spring loaded hinges save on the costs of purchasing the Fire Marshal’s required door closers.

I would like express gratitude to Home Depot for offering a steel door. Was unaware the item was available at Home Depot. Just accidentally happened onto the product there. Price was right and of course the item is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.

Basic cut and dry install. Spring loaded hinges were a nice feature. Probably didn't have to but I added a door closer for a smoother close with no crash into the frame at the end.

This is the best value out there. There were a couple of surprises though. A commercial grade Stanley lockset came with the door, but the holes for the screws that secure the two sides were not pre-drilled, and there were no instructions on drilling those holes (what size drill bit, or exactly how to position the template to drill the holes). Also, in the instructions for the rough opening size, it uses non-standard terminology that just muddies the water. All-in-all I still rate it 5 stars.

Unfortunately, for some who have purchased this item, they did not know what they were buying. This is a commercial type door that is designed to be installed in the opening and to be filled with concrete backfill from the top as the wall is being built. Using this against masonry walls this can be tied into the wall with reinforcement that way. Using this in wood construction is possible but the strength of the door buck (frame) is somewhat compromised by lack of backfill. If you are attempting to use this in a wood frame building it would be better to get a steel door mounted in a wood frame. I read in other reviews that stated the frame was flimsy and hardly able to support the door. That might be the case without proper installation of backfill. Trying to use this in a retrofit situation would be rather difficult due to the inability to backfill because the top plate of the opening being in place already.

The door and frame work was all in tact and was easily installed, did it alone, instructions were easily understood. The hardest thing was installing the door knob!

Like the door panel & frame but the door could be pulled open when locked. The gap seemed correct so ended up buying a deadbolt.

The knock down jamb has no way to secure the bottom unless you drill a hole through it or if you can weld it to steel plate. Its suppose to be for a pre-finished wall. I was disappointed.

The frame is pretty flemzy, but looks like it will work for my installation. If your looking for something heavy duty, this isn’t the door for you.

Door was good but had 3 cutouts for three hinges and the company only provided two. The inspector is requiring all 3 hinges be installed so now I have to find and purchase another hinge. It should definatly came with 3 hinges!

Basicly easy install, after proper set up works as expected. Glad that get 84 inch height size as not custom size.
