It is hard to install because of the weight (about 80 lbs) and the screws that come with it should be discarded. They are slot haded and should be hex head to attach a door this heavy. Wasted a lot of time on this detail. Door quality is very good. Delivery was delayed five times even though it was close by. HD needs to reevaluate who they contract for this. Definitely a two person job.

Works and looks great!

The door is terrifyingly heavy and any small bump or set down on a hard floor during installation could chip it. 2 strong adults REQUIRED for install! That said, once installed, it is gorgeous and functions like a dream! Measure EXACTLY because it doesn't have much width adjustment. Save the gap strip excess for around the hinges or they will leak a little.

The Screws that came with the Hinges are cheap and not heavy duty for a heavy shower glass. They kept on Stripping, even I had the right bit. I used my own hex screws. And did the job right! Poor Instructions also.

Very high quality product. Looks much more substantial and classier than framed units. DIY install. Followed instructions and used the right tools, resulted in a perfect installation. Looks great and the finish on the glass makes keeping it clean simple and fast.

I’m impressed with the door, looks great glass is thick and the door is super solid. Installation was tough and takes two guys for sure. I’d recommend.

Door was exactly as listed. Perfect fitment and modernized the shower! As other reviews have stated, the hardware is a little difficult as it is close to the metal frame.

We are in the process of installing this shower. Because of the wide screw heads we scratched the inside of the hinge cover. It is too tight as others already noted. We put masking tape on it but it still scratched through it. How can we order new ones?

The installation of this door was about as simple as it gets for glass shower doors (provided you have backing behind your wall). The glass and hardware all seem of very high grade. Only detractor on this is that the screw heads are large enough that they can hit the finished surface of the hinge face during installation, so extra care is required to not scratch the hinge.

Door came out great. Defiantly need 2 people to mount this. Make sure you supported the wall with studs as this is a very heavy, solid door.

This is a nice door, heavy and so far, stays clean. Installation was ok, and it fit in our slightly off-plumb opening pretty well. The main problem we are having is not with the door, but with the plastic Jamb that adheres to the wall to help keep water leaking out. It will not stay adhered to the tile wall. Every time if falls off, and someone slaps it back up, it's slightly off, so I have sticky residue all over the wall. I need to find a better solution for that. Also, I wish we had an option to have a handle on both sides of the door. It is awkward to try to open the door with just a little nub.

Very pleased with this product. It was easy to install, though it did take a couple of us due to the weight. The door and hardware are solidly built. The instructions were clear enough. I had 1 of 8 wall anchors start spinning on me in the hole while trying to mount the hinges to the wall. This was preventing me from tightening the screw all the way down. To resolve this, I put a couple dabs of JB Weld epoxy around the head of the anchor embedded in the tile. After letting the epoxy dry 24 hours, and applying a little oil to the screw, the screw went in and held without issue. The door has been installed for about 3 weeks. I really like that the door doesn't have any of the "clunky" metal framing. It has a very clean and up-scale look. I was a little concerned at first about the 90 angle "door stop", and whether it would be substantial enough to withstand the door shutting over time. The angle material is a stiff vinyl. It has an adhesive strip allowing you to stick the vinyl angle to the wall. After using the shower several times now, I am not concerned at all about the materials' ability to stand up to the door closing. I did run a bead of silicone sealant behind the angle material to prevent water seepage and provide a bit more sturdiness, but it probably wasn't needed. I'd buy one of these doors again.

I love the look and functionality of this shower door. The door is substantial and looks way more expensive than what we paid for it; it's a winner in my book! It looks as pictured and installation was not difficult and presented no qualms. The door is heavy so my husband opted to use two glass suction cups for the lifting and experienced no problems lifting it by himself. All I had to do was help keep it in place. Three things to note: First, the door opens/pushes inwards and outwards. For most people this may not be a concern. For our situation we have a shower bench and if we aren't careful and push the door back too much, with too much force, or too fast the glass will likely shatter. I am not overly concerned as the door is in the master. However, if you plan to place it where kids, a clumsy person, or someone that is heavy handed will use it keep this in mind. See the attached picture Second, I am not against the plastic stripping (I think it is some type of plastic) supplied to keep water from splashing outside of the shower. I do wonder how long the adhesive will remain secure over time. As of now, which is only one month since the install the stripping is doing its job. The stripping is applied to both walls and the bottom seal and we have not had any water leak outside the shower. Third, I purchased this model over the Cascadia model due to the EnduroShield, but the glass remains murky looking w/water stains. While I expect to have to clean the glass, I thought the EnduroShield would at least prevent daily cleaning (hoping every 2 days at least). Currently, I am cleaning the glass as I did prior to install (previous glass door was not treated and was from the 80’s) which was daily. I am finding that I have to clean it immediately after each shower to prevent water stains. I will say that the stains do not look as bad as my previous glass. I think the EnduroShield is helping minimally if I wipe it down quickly and then squeegee, I don’t have to use much muscle or harsh chemicals. However, the jury is still out as to if it is worth paying the extra money over the Cascadia model; only time will tell. In sum, I am pleased with this shower door. It looks and feels expensive, makes my rather small shower appear and feel larger than it is and has an aesthetic quality that I appreciate with no water leakage. If installed right as mines was, I do not see any foreseeable problems except for the minor notations listed above. Overall, I highly recommend!

I wanted a stand up shower, being that I've grown tired of the bathtub that we had in our bathroom. The doors are easy to clean and are made of a high grade glass; giving me the most amazing shower time minus the cleaning time struggles. It is a Blessing to have an amazing renovation such as ours!

We have this shower in the second bathroom that my dad built for us, well the shower he built so I needed his help installing this because we didnt know how. He ended up needing to add an extra stud. Just to keep it sturdy but it looks amazing. I hated having the shower curtain because it made it darker in the shower, we dont have lights above/near the shower but now the light filters in through the door much better. Love this door. It looks amazing in here. It took my dad and husband about 3 and half hours to install but I think that was due to adding the extra stud and removing some tile to get it to fit right. And now they just have to finish it with the tile and baseboards and things. It took both of them to lift the glass up and install that. Not too heavy just to make sure it was all even. I think we will have to replace some fixtures to match now. I do suggest finding someone who knows how to do this so it fits well and at least two people to install just to keep it level and even.

Looks and works fantastic. Easy to install and adjust. My wall was a little out of square so it wasn't closing exactly where it should. One shim at the outside of hinge and it was perfect. Simply beautiful...

This item arrived way faster than I ever expected. It was very well protected and there was zero damage to the packaging. It was very easy to install and so far the glass does not need to be cleaned after every shower and it looks okay. This is a great door that does not look bulky or block the view. Very minimal hardware. We love it!

The opening is 31” but there is a gap between the wall and strip seal. No one at Home Depot can assist. Total frustration

Looks great! Install was straightforward. The only negative thing that I find is that the hinges are not adjustable. The hinge mounting wall was not perpendicular in our alcove shower, so I have a noticeable angle when the door is fully closed. Would have been perfect if the hinge could have been set to a desired closed position.

Picked up door at Home Depot after waiting for it to be delivered. Get the door home, open it and missing everything but the hinges. No instructions, no handles, no screws, no stripping that comes with it. What a terrible experience!!

This is our 2nd shower door from Aston. Beautiful door, great price. Our contractor was pleased with ease of installation.
