Love this paint. The sheen and durability of oil base but with water clean up. Also breaks clean when you take off the tape. So you can. Have razor tight cut lines between the trim and wall color. This paint is almost a Miricle.

Very nice hybrid paint
Excellent classic oil-like finish once you figure this product out. Learning curve is a bit steeper than some other hybrids. It's a bit thick out of the can, I recommend thinning with a little bit of water, TDS says not to but it's fine. It won't level if it's applied too thin, I think that might be the issue some people are having with it. Apply with a medium-soft brush and don't over brush, let the paint do the work. Finished appearance is near identical to older SW Proclassic oil.

Doesn’t hide very well. I needed to use three coats to cover old paint.

Hi Will, thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear our Urethane Alkyd Enamel did not provide the coverage you expected. Generally, paint covers in 1-2 coats. However, porous surfaces and drastic color transitions may need additional coats for uniformity. In any case, we value your customer experience, and we appreciate your feedback. Needed 4 coats for bathroom vanity
Someone from HD recommended this paint over my primed vanity doors in my bathroom as I was changing the color. I had sanded the wood, cleaned it thoroughly with TSP, rinsed it thoroughly, and did a coat of primer (changing it from the light wood color to dark green). Maybe this is on me as it's been a while since I used dark paint on a project but I needed 4 coats in order to cover up all of the white primer. I have painted a lot of wood surfaces and this paint was definitely frustrating.

Not as easy to work with as I had been lead to believe. It had more runs than anticipated and required sanding between each coat (3) in order to get the finish I expected. That said, it is a high quality urethane paint, covers well when using multiple coats and provided a hard finish after drying. This is why I chose a urethane paint and it delivered, just more work than anticipated.

        water based paint
I used this paint for some interior doors and trim. The overall status is that the paint did cover the old almond color. However, it seemed to me that once the roller loaded up the water started dripping out the spindle. Since it is water based it did clean up easy but it was a hassle to keep cleaning the drips. I've only had it on the door for 1 day now so we shall see how it holds up for time. I gave it 4 starts for value since it was an average priced paint.

This is a great paint, flow is good, tough finish when fully cured. Water clean-up urethane is amazing chemistry, kudos to the guys in the lab. Dry time is on the long side. Take your time to get a great result.

Went on well, but will it hold up to the elements?
I used this paint in a shade of black to paint a new steel/wood exterior door slab. Since I was having problems with my airless sprayer, my first coat was using brushes and rollers. This paint is very sensitive to dragging, so you cannot fuss once you start. After letting that dry and sanding it to knock down some of the brush marks, I was able to get my Graco airless project painter to put down the paint. It went on easy and covered well. Second coat dried quicker compared to brush, but the third coat took a little longer to set. The color is solid, the paint flowed nicely and other than some nibs, looks amazing. The true test will be how it holds up to the elements. This door is on the east side of my house, so it gets the low morning sun, which will definitely warm up the surface. I've recently added a storm door with low-E glass. Now I have a mini solar oven going on. Time to see if this paint can handle temperatures above 120°F, even in the winter time.

            Bad batch
I have used 5 gallon on a home renovation with no issues. I bought a sixth and it’s yellowish and won’t cover anything might as well have been smearing water around. Very unhappy.

The paint was OK, but what I told the HD paint person was that I wanted to spray it on some old yard furniture.. THIS CAN NOT BE THINNED!! It's way to thick to spray.. I rolled it on and brushed the hard to reach areas. Hmmm

              Not great interior paint.
I used this to paint kitchen cabinets. It took longer to dry than most paints. The odor is rather strong and has lasted for days. Prolonged exposure has caused light headedness, although I’ve ventilated as best I could. The surface seems hard and durable, but I would recommend this for exterior use only. It’s a two coat paint over colors.

                So far so good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now, I just painted 3 porch doors and a pantry door yesterday so no long term review yet. It was so easy to use! All 3 doors had to be scraped since the paint was flying off like confetti. 3 coats of primer and one coat of paint so far. Looks great today! I have 2 Great Pyrenees so I needed something that will hold up to head butts and scratches. Should have done this project 10 years ago!

I was extremely impressed with this stain. High quality, easy to apply with a high quality nylon brush. No brush streaks. The cabinets look terrific. I saved $4,000.
