To fix this, we recommend removing the loose coating by scraping or sanding, spot etching the bare concrete as needed, and allowing the surface to dry thoroughly. Once dry, apply the Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer and re-apply the Solid Color Concrete Stain. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. That is not the experience we want for our customers, and I want to help turn this around. Our Solid Color Concrete Stain is a film-forming stain that is not formulated to penetrate concrete. The coating should dry and be fully cured within about 14 days to be able to provide the proper protection and durability. During that time, we recommend being gentle on the coating to avoid any abrasions or touch-ups. To fix the scratch, I recommend removing any loose coating and making sure that the surface is clean and dry. If the area is bare, prime the concrete before touching up the spot.
