I repainted our front wrought iron doors and this paint worked out great. It took two coats and prepping beforehand, but for $50 plus supplies, we have brand new doors. Highly recommended as I only use Behr paint.

We Used this product to refinish our metal roof. It hardens really well. Do not recommend applying it when the sun is out. Color looks great. Hopefully it aged as well.

It took 15 gallons to paint a 4,000 sq ft barn with high pitch. Used a sprayer and it went on perfect. We did 2 coats on the aluminum.

I used this paint on my garage door. I sanded the garage door and was prepped for paint. After one coat it seemed like the paint did not fully adhere. Once I put the second coat the paint did adhere to the surface pretty well. The finish looked great. I used a Greco magnum airless sprayer.

I've been a professional painter and have had my own business for over 20 years. This is the BEST product I've ever used on metal handrails and fire escapes and covers awesome. I highly recommend this product for these types of applications.

I bought this item for my shed. My Galvanized Door Stripped, cleaned and primed with No.435 and 3/8"premium nap and as recommended, read the instruction and recommendation very well; now the paint is too rough to a touch and disappointed. The paint has good quality adhesion but surface is not as I expected and read. Now I am searching a solution how to get rid of the this rough surface you see on the picture I posted. before judgement I want to hear from behr suggestion or correction I could make.

Purchased this product for the first time, it was easy to clean and had a vibrant color once completely dried. I'll buy it again.

We just painted our outdoor furniture; 12 chairs, two tables and two lounge chairs with the black semi-gloss direct to metal paint by Behr. It only took 1 and 1/4 gallons with our paint sprayer. Dry time was super fast. We didn’t have to dilute with water and the coverage and transformation is amazing. Garage and exterior doors next. Great quality product. Highly recommend.

This paint totally failed. As a professional painter, I sprayed metal roofing panels laying flat during the heat of the day, allowing them to setup before dusk set in nearly three hours later. 15 panels in all. All but three of the panels were set and completely dry to the touch as dusk fell. 77* heat in direct sunlight when sprayed. 65* a half-hour before dusk. The last three panels never dried. By morning, each and every panel had re-hydrated and the paint had ran like it had been sprayed down with a hose. Some of the metal was completely exposed again, and other places had ran, wrinkled, puddled, and bubbled. It was unreal. I was stunned. Complete failure. As a professional painting contractor, I'd never used Behr products before. The paint simply failed to emulsify. I let the panels lay for several days before installing them on the roof, and at that point had no choice but to paint a second coat after installation on the steep-pitched roof itself, after MANY hours of cleaning and prepping the panels for a second coat. I only had a three-hour window that I felt I could safely apply that last coat each day, and a simple one-day installation turned into more than a week as a result. My panels are ruined. I have no idea how well this paint will fare over the months and years ahead. The paint looks like it was applied by a total amateur. This is on an investment project that I own myself. I plan to replace the panels in the spring once the weather clears again due to the lousy finish I've ended up with as a result of this product's failure.

Second time using this garbage. Color is not even close to what i asked for, when applied in optimal conditions, you cant apply this crap thin enough to stop it from running. Pic on the left is ONE coat of rusteloem, on the right is after the THIRD coat of this behr garbage, suposed to be safety orange.

Horrible paint. Clogs up sprayer really bad, sales associate said you can thin it and will work with any air gun. Sprayed on brand new metal and it rust leaked right through over night

Awesome stuff coming from a welder that builds metal fencing and gates.

IDK about this paint. It goes on smooth as butter. Dries super fast. BUT, after two coats, I can see not only the brush strokes, but it’s blotchy in some areas. I prepped the doors by removing all old paint, sanded & cleaned twice with a good cleaner. Im also using high quality brush & roller. I’m going to put a 3rd coat on & see how that does it. Not sold yet.

Painted the interior side of my back door. Paint was easy to apply, looks great, and has not chipped yet! The paint does have a strong smell when applying, but that faded quickly with some extra ventilation!

This is one of the best paints I have ever bought. It covers everything with one coat. Very durable, and easy clean up. I will never buy another paint for metal again, besides this one. Unless Behr comes up with a better one. I totally stand behind the Behr product.

Used this paint over a rusty but pressure washed metal boat dock frame and cover. It went on easy and looks great. Seems to have really adhered to the old metal well.

This paint working well on my back entry door. The paint is glossy just like, I like it to be for my man cave!! Things are coming together wonderful....

Of course I don't know how long it will last but so far I'm very satisfied. It went on very well, but since I was painting over white metal window muntins (interior) I had to apply two coats to eliminate the show through in the brush strokes. Very thick consistency. The can instructions didn't say anything about stirring and it seemed well mixed when I received it, but I gave it a good stirring with a paint stick anyway. I hope it lasts but it was just what I needed for my metal windows. Odor was minimal and disappeared quickly as the material also quickly dried. I did the second coat after about 4 hours which seemed more than enough time. Nice sheen but not too glossy.

Used on aluminum shutters with roller. Coverage on bare metal very good. May need second coat, but not surpised. One-coat converage on bare metal asking a lot. Price was reasonable compared to other brands. Soap and water clean up no problem.

Easy to order, color matched good. Just wished tracking was updated a little faster.

I actually wanted Glossy White exterior wood paint but will use this paint as a primer.

Excellent paint for direct to metal painting

I used this paint on an aluminum snowmobile trailer roof. I did not use a primer. It adhered really well. Covered very good with 3 coats of paint.
