Took 3 coats despite the store's associate claim of great coverage. He recommended this over Rustoleum cabinet transformation, which we had used before with great results. Disappointing in purchase.

This is the second time I have used this product to paint old kitchen cabinets and both times they came out beautifully.

I was very impressed with the coverage over such a dark paint. Compare the cupboard to the window frame.

Alkyd is Very versatile. I use it for trim and also cabinets. Sprays on beautifully and also rolls and brushes just as well ,depending on the finish your looking for. Thin coats works best. A favorite with Diversified Painting and Restoration...

This paint work excellent on my kitchen cabinets however I do think it dried much lighter than expected but I was not about to re-sand It leveled beautifully we had a sponge roller application and I will definitely use this product again

Not for regular inside trim work, puts off a lot of fumes recommend only for outside. Very hard to clean up. Great for plastic and metal

I love how my bathroom doors, trim and bar cabinets turned out with this product. Smooth, fast drying -- looks like a professional painter did the work -- when in fact I did it. I highly recommend this product, and will definitely be using it again to change all the brown trim/doors from white in my house.

This paint was fantastic when it first came out - good leveling, nice solid 2 coat coverage. But on a recent job, a whole house repaint where the woodwork and doors were brown, I applied one coat BIN primer/sealer over all trim and doors, then proceeded to paint with Behr Alkyd Semi Gloss ( packaged white), and it took FOUR COATS to achieve solid coverage! Again, this was over a white prime coat! This cost me well over $1,500 in extra labor. I will admit the finished product has a nice look, but due to the poor coverage, I will never purchase or recommend this product again.

I used this paint to refinish my old 1980 cabinets, I think they are either cherry or pine. I rolled it on and it leveled smoothly. Then I added Rust-oleum coffee glaze to the inner groove. Hardware purchased from HomeDepot.com.

I used this product on cabinetry to 'try' before I build my kitchen cabinets which we intend on painting. The cabinets came out great! I wish HD would carry color chips in-store (or that one can order on-line) as this color is a little bit 'bluer' than it appears on-line - no one's fault - just the way it is with on-line color. It goes on smoothly - for cabinet work I recommend rolling it on and only brushing (with a good brush) where you have to. I recommend using a paint stirrer attached to a drill to mix as this paint separates pretty readily. I am going to do a trial with a sprayer to see if I can get an even better finish - although the roller applied finish looks really good. Love the fact that it is not oil based, low VOC (although it does have a distinct 'vomit' smell while applying) and clean-up is easy - soap and water. It sticks really well!!! Took me a couple of days to get it off the heel of my hand that I missed in cleaning up - once it dried it was a bear to get off (no pun intended). Verdict? This is the paint I will be using on my kitchen cabinets.

Levels very well with brush, foam roller or airless sprayer. Adhesion is great. Surface dries in a few hours, but takes several days to really harden / cure. I used it for a cabinet paint job and like it so much, I'm using another shade for the next cabinet paint job.

I used this paint for the inside of a bus and two coats covered nicely. I will be getting more for the outside of the bus.

I used various tinted colors of this product to paint furniture for our granddaughters. I spent a lot of time just prepping the furniture, stripping, sanding and patching, before I painted. I sanded a LOT, starting with 60 grit and working my way up to 320, using 3M sandpaper (my favorite). My husband thought I was nuts, but he agreed it was worth all of the prep work when he saw the finished product. I used the best foam rollers Home Depot sold, and the key to a good paint job on furniture is to only paint in one direction with the best foam rollers you can afford. If you've painted a lot of walls like I have, it took a while to get into the habit, but it was definitely worth the effort, with minimal paint strokes as a result. For places where I had to use a paint brush, my go-to brush is always a Purdy angled brush. And as with every paint project, two coats required. It's been about 3 months, and so far the furniture is holding up good. I was happy with the way the paint job turned out, and would recommend this type of paint for furniture. One of my cardinal rules for a successful paint job is to use the best paint rollers and brushes you can afford, and Home Depot has a good selection to choose from. Please note that I am not a professional; this is just a hobby for me.

This is the only product I will use when painting door and window casings, window stool, baseboards, crown, cabinets, and interior doors. It is a ultra white, dries quickly and the paint dries hard. To paint without brush lines, you have to cut it with both water and paint conditioner. Recommend thin coats and to use a artist’s brush when laying this paint to avoid any lines.

Paint covered well but the cleanup was not as easy as expected. It said that it cleans easily with soap and water but that was not the case, especially on hands. I did have a problem with pickup. It was supposed to be picked up at store but when I got there they said there was a glitch in the system and purchase had not been "picked" The service desk and department staff were very good and immediately found the items ordered and brought them to desk.

The paint was good. But on7/11/24 I bought a HUSKY Spot light with a gift card. And it's not working right. I would like to bring it back. Unfortunately I can't find the receipt. But next time I am in town I am going to bring it back.

This paint feels like a good oil based enamel during application and dries like it too. I'm very happy with it. In viewing some of the photos from the negative reviews I honestly don't know how they got it to look that bad! I found it very easy to use and it looks great on exterior trim. Coverage will depend entirely on color, color you're covering, as well as what you're applying it with. I wouldn't waste my time using it with a foam roller, but that's just my opinion. Excellent paint overall.

I usually do not use Behr paint, but decide to try this one. This was a mistake. I've used another urethane alky type paint from another brand. That brand has excellent results even on medium quality substrates. This paint is thin and does not cover well. Expect 2-3 coats on well prepared surfaces. Leveling appears to be poor. I suspect this is due to the solids. The other paint I used is closer to 49% solids by weight compared to 30% in the Behr if I found the right PDS.
