Very good paint. With all the rain we have been getting, my fence starting showing some rust. I was highly recommended by a home depot employee to go with this paint. My fence looks brand new again. I will definitely buy again if needed

I’ve been using HD’s Behr paint for both interior and exterior for a while. While this particular US enamel was a lot pricier than what I typically purchase, I wanted it to stand up to weather and the elements on an exterior door and trim. Hoping that the extra cost will be worth it in the long run and last longer so less re-painting needs to be done. I’m sure this Behr application will do the job.

I am quite impressed with the quality and coverage of this paint. I only remember Behr paint being sold at the local K-Mart when I was in my teens. It was not very good back then. I was hesitating even trying it because of my younger years experience. WOW!, what a difference. They have improved the product greatly. I've been very disappointed with the paint and primer (valspar) sold now. I have to say, the quality of the Behr brand has changed my mind greatly. Next is to get the exterior behr to paint my house

Never received the products and it took multiple calls and chats before Home Depot issue me a refund over a month later.

I bought this, on the recommendation of a Home Depot employee, to paint the door coming into my house, from the garage. It was very easy to work with, and looks really, really nice.

the paint color didn't match the Behr color sample ( off white 73). it dried much slower than hybrid enamels from kelly moore and sherwin williams. I had to continuously strain the paint because of "trash"forming in the paint as dried paint or unremulsified ingredients. I dont know how long I will have to wait before I can sand off the two coats I applied to doors before re-paint with better paint. I cant trust product again.

Hi there, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear about your experience using the Urethane Alkyd Enamel Paint. That is not normal and certainly not the experience we want for our customers. Stirring the paint for 3-5 minutes to ensure all contents are mixed should result in a blended smoothie consistency and not be clumpy or contain dried paint. I recommend allowing the paint to dry for 24 hours before test sanding a small area, and if the paint gums up, additional dry time may be needed. Behr urethane alklyd
Behr urethane alklyd so if you get this in a light color it works good. It will level decent and dries hard and fast. However if you get a dark color mixed using it. It takes a long time to cure. Stays tacky for days and days. And then when the tackiness goes away and you put your door back on your house after a few days and it rains moisture penetrates into the paint and lifts it to a a job that you have to redo. If you go with this go a light color.

First time using alkyd paint.
Project: kitchen facelift. preprimed wainscoating and new trim installed on outside lower cabinets around island.
WOW. This paint gave me the BEST results. Truly pleasant to work with. Two coats gave completely professional looking results.

Not for brush or roller. Spraying is OK.
I expected this paint, at the price point it's at, to be a much better product. It was recommended to me to use in replacement of the Sherwin-Williams product by the same name. The two products are not the same.
All surfaces had been primer the day before. Its sprayed OK at a low pressure with fine finish tip and 2 coats. But when using brush or roller it took 4 coats.
I found that I had to mix paint every few minutes because the solids in it would settle to the bottom of can.
I can't recommend this product unless you want to take twice the time and be frustrated during the process.

This paint can be applied using a 1/4"-3/8" roller or nylon brush and does require a minimum of two coats when applied to a primed surface. I have nothing bad to say about this paint. It is exactly the same as the little sample card I got before I bought it. A lot of my neighbors have commented on how pretty and "coastal" the color is. That is exactly what I was wanting my house to look like, so I'm very happy. It went on smoothly and has withstood the rain very well.
