I am 81 almost 82 years old and I have 2 1/2 acres to weed eat. Needless to say I don't have the strenght to carry a heavy weed eater, the black & dacker corded one is great. this is the first time the cover on the weed eater broke. I went ahead and purchased a new weed eater while I was at the store, I thought they proably would go up in price,

Although these spool caps wear out about once a year or so, the durability and versatility of the trimmer/edger is awesome! I'll gladly pay the ~$7 a year for the spool cap for the functionality of the tool. I have had this tool for 3 years and it consistently performs at or above my expectations.

I been to different stores of Home Depot looking for the spool cap part & I didn’t find it.Thanks that we came here & I find it because I really needed. I already use trimmer/lawn edger & it works perfect, now I know were to go next time I need something to clean my garden.
