Boy did I want this system to work. The biggest fail are the “non-chip strips”. I will speak to the system as one part really doesn’t give the whole picture. The non-chip strips are the key to this system as they not only are supposed to minimize chipping they also serve the accurately position the straight edge. You actual cut the strip to match your sawblade. The strip first failed by rolling up from the end about 4 inches The mastic tape on the strip actually let loose from the plastic strip itself staying on the aluminum straight edge. It has since also lifted away half way up the straightedge. The problem appears to be the “memory” in the coiled plastic strip. Without the strips you have to measure the setback which can lead to error as well as added time. I contacted Bora and they were no help. From my communications it was apparent this issue didn’t surprise them and offered no real help after saying they were here to help. Then if you decide to purchase the 100” model you’ll need a straight edge to properly align the two sections of the 100” model. Butting them tight together I had a 1/8” bow in it. I cannot recommend this system as it stands today. If I had it to do over I’d stay with my shop built rip guides that I’ve used for more years than I’d like to count. It’s a shame as this system could be so much better, mainly the bad chip strips.

Essential tool for cutting full sheets of plywood.

I used the BORA NGX 50-inch Clamp to first rip a small 2-inch section off of a 4-ft board, then make a cross cut to make two 2-ft boards. The clamp edge held firm and my saw made clean and straight cuts in both instances. The BORA Guide did not flex as I ran my saw base plate against the guide edge. Your mileage may vary on your circular or jigsaw if the base plate does not square up against the edge of the BORA Guide but I had no issues.

My last set, not by Bora, lasted me over 30 years. There is no way this will last more than a couple of years. The plastic clamps are not very sturdy. The thin aluminum rails flex, and dont try and clamp them using a trigger clamp or bar clamp. They will easily crush. For the pricr, these should be better quality. I have other Bora products that i think are very good, this is not one of them

Clamp sticks; poor screws strip immediately; extension does not align to provide a seemless edge; bends if applied pressure - stay away from this product.

Warning!...to all those that are considering purchasing the Bora Set... 1. It does not work out of the box with all saws, in particular saws that are battery powered...I have a Milwaukee 18V and you have to modify the screw on the carriage to make the saw fit with the battery attached 2. the end clamp binds, it need to be hit sometimes to get it to move 3. the straight edge, and extension straight edge do not accurately fit together, once assembled they are offset, not by much but enough to make an inaccurate straight cut 4. the connection screws on the edge extension are quite soft, stripped one when taking it out I would not purchase again, I would spend the extra $ and buy a higher quality brand

Three main problems with this: 1. The clamping mechanism failed on me after a few uses 2. When you screw in the extension piece for the track its not 100% straight which defeats the whole purpose 3. It's pricy for what it is (I wouldn't have such a problem if the first two issues didn't exist) Based on my experience I do not recommend this product.

Haven't used them yet. got them so I could cut angles used vise grip clamps before and they work but you can only cut one side of the saw now I can cut with right or left side against straight edge clamp is on the bottom or off the way

product works phenomenal however after attaching the two ends via the screws that are provided, The screw stripped and you no longer detach them so now I only have 100 inch clamp and I can't use it smaller. disappointing but overall functions well

Exactly what I needed for rip cuts without the need of a track saw

Works great especially with worx exactrack circular saw. Cuts through 4 x 8 plywood straight every time!

Purchased this kit to augment a WTX have owned for many years. Clamp mechanism of NGX is much better design IMO and is easy to set. Using the saw sled with Mak 18V LXT sidewinder and this combo works well to add and easy to set up track saw rig for panel work in my pocket shop.
