Highly recomended. Could be a little easier to use but all around great.

Been using these for a while and they have their issues. Every time the power flicks on and off the wemo is still connected to the router/switch but no longer can be found by the app. Have to reset to factory setting and start over from the beginning. A royal pain and takes about 3 hours for three of them. Not worth the aggravation.

I had another product that I couldn't get connected to my home wifi but Wemo worked in under 30 seconds.

I bought this device about 6 months ago and probably has only worked correctly about 2-3 months of the time. Even then, it only worked intermittently. The device now, constantly disconnects and will not reconnect to my WiFi network (the router is only 10 feet from device). The reason I bought this device was to be able to turn the lights on and off for my animals when I’m not at home. I would not recommend this device due to the issues and the price.

My boyfriend never has his phone on him. Last night I was trying to get a hold of him so I used the Wemo App to flicker on and off the living room lights which is connected to the Wemo Smart Plug. Although he though the house was haunted at first he then realized it was me so he found his phone and called me back. How great is that?!?! On a side note, I'm using the smart plug for the Christmas Lights and love that I can turn them on and off from my phone. Thanks Wemo!

I bought a Wemo Mini first. I loved how easy it was, so I bought another for my living room. We like to have lights come on and off even if we’re not home. No more spinning a dial, pushing a button or getting frustrated with setting times with these little beauties. My hubby did not like the one in the bedroom because of how it was shaped like a little rectangle. So, I bought the Wemo insight after reading about its features and its size. Love all my Wemo’s and the convienence of the app on my phone to reset the rules with the changing daylight savings or going on vacation. Unless I absolutely had to give up my wireless modem in my house, my house will be filled with Wemo’s.

I followed the instructions to the letter but the Wemo will not shut off.

I can't get it to setup and I can't find any support on the item. I'm sending it back and I'm totally disappointed.

I’ve been using these WEMO switches for a year and a half. I was originally put off by the price, but I was using a version 1 Wink hub to control all of my inside lights but I needed some units to control some of the things that were on the outside property. I thought these would do the trick. They worked great until my cable modem died a glorious death and I had to change the network over to a new set of IP addresses to accommodate the new modem. It took me several Google searches and numbers of tried to get all of my WEMO switches back to working again. I did and thought all was cool! Well, I went through a hurricane and took a direct lightning strike - the kind your surge suppressors cannot live through, and all of the routers and the modem FRIED!! Replaced all and got all of the computers back on the network from the house all the way to the workshop and still couldn’t find any of the WEMO switches. Worked late into the evening resetting and restarting the switches, removing and reinstalling the app and getting mixed or delayed results and I still haven’t hooked it up properly with Alexa. That’ll be tomorrow. I’m thinking of charging WEMO for my time.... Please, work on your stuff to make it easier for the consumer or charge less for your product. It’s tedious and there’s much better solutions now.

Great product, good quality and connection stability. Integrates seamlessly with Google Home. App is easy to use. Just wish they did it a little bit smaller...!

Love the idea, but I'm disappointed the product has been discontinued. Particularly now that Google home etc is so popular and Wemo works well with them. Very hit and miss on updates.

I absolutely love my wemos and having remote access but the software has still got problems. I have been using wemos for around 5 years and i still have the same issues as when i started, even with all the software and firmware updates/upgrades - wemos drop off, loose connection and cant add multiple sites. I use a simple third party software to control wemos. The combination of the wemos and the third party software for me is brilliant and reliable! Wemos and orginal wemo app software not so good.

It is always a hot summer in NY and having this insight saves me so much stress when my air unit can be turned on remotely before I get home. You can also connect other devices and even a power adapter to it.

Got it 7 days ago. Easy install and interface to Alexa. Works as advertised. Plan to use the wattage readings to track down my phantom power usage and help keep my electrical costs under control.

Bought the Wemo Insight to control light switches from my phone but soon found another use. It is currently controlling my heat pump via schedules and saves a lot of money every day. If I get home early I can turn it on from my phone or tablet - so easy. And power consumption is recorded as well.

I love these convenience of powering my lamps with the insight. I plan on getting more Wemo products to make my apartment as smart as possible.

use it to monitor and control a window AC unit and it works flawlessly

WEMO wireless Insight Plug....is GREAT! If you leave your house and return after darkness, you are able to turn a light on (or program ahead- of- time to turn off and on at your preference) I will be purchasing additional WEMO switches.

Easy initial setup. It took awhile to configure rules setup...but worked great after Wemo automatic upgrade downloaded.

Bought for turning on lights when I’m away. And the plug has so many bonus features of showing the power usage and price for that usage.

Once you get the hang of it, the setup and making changes, is really easy. So far the unit works great and I will be buying 4 or 5 more.

For some time I have been trying to figure out how to more efficiently get hot water throughout my entire house in order to save money on my gas, water, and electric bill. The Problem: I have a hot water recirculating pump that I can set manually (major pain in the rear) but my work schedule was not conducive to using this for showering unless I left it on all the time (which equates to a high gas and electric bill.) When not using the pump it takes 4-5 minutes to get hot water up to my master bathroom from the water heater which is located on the other side of the house (equating to a much higher water bill and time wasted by letting it run till it got hot.) My solution: Enter the Wemo Insight! After programming the switch and making a rule to automatically turn off after 5 minutes of use and linking it to a recently purchased Amazon Echo my problem was solved. I now have my recirculating pump plugged into my Wemo Insight and have the pump set to "on" all the time. Except now it only turns on when I say "Alexa, Hot Water On" and then for only 5 minutes. I now can quickly get hot water to every faucet in my house in only a matter of a few seconds with a simple voice command to "Alexa" and only when one of my family members or I need. It works great for everything from showering and hand washing to laundry and the dishwasher. Plus, because of the auto off function rule I made I don't have to worry about someone forgetting to turn the pump off after using it. I'm estimating my first month of utilities savings alone will more than pay for the Wemo Insight and possibly even the Echo. This device is Awesome and can help make your smart home imaginations possible.

I think the unit is a little large and slightly expensive. However, seeing what my fans and other energy devices actually use and having the ability to control them is great.

We have Wemo light switches, outlets and cameras in our home the switch’s and outlets work great with Alexa and love the timer function to turn lights on and off including landscape lights, outdoor lights and foyer lights. Love the ease of setting up.

I bought two Insight Smart Plugs a week ago and was so excited when I received them in the mail. They’re bigger than I expected but the fact that they function without a hub is nice. I got two of them and had issues setting one of them up. I was able to reset it and get it working but it really brought to my attention that the reset button is awkwardly positioned. It’s difficult to hold down while plugging in. The app is intuitive and getting my plugs labeled so I know which light I’m turning on/off was easy.

I own 3 Insights and find them extremely useful because they are the only product that lets me know for sure that my powered device is actually on. I use 2 to control roof deicing cables and 1 for a fan heater in my garage. When I am away for 3 months in the winter I can remotely confirm, by seeing the power usage, that these devices are not just power enabled, but actually running.

Been using these for a couple years now. Love them... syncs with Alexa. So easy to just say "Alexa turn on..."
