[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After three months a large gray area appeared under the glass and in the middle of a burner. Appliance repairman said it was a cosmetic defect but Bosch only has a 30 day warranty on cosmetic defects. It's very unslighty especially on a black cooktop and gets a lot of questions from dinner guest who can't believe it's a Bosch. The 30 day warranty is totally unacceptable and I'm going to try every resource possible to get a replacement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Bosch 800 Series Electric Cooktop. We sold a home that we replaced the original cooktop with the Bosch. I ordered and had the builder install the Bosch 800 Electric Cooktop in our new home we just built. I love the availibilty of having TWO large burners plus an option for a griddle, perfect for making pancakes and French toast when we have company! I recommend the Bosch to all my friends who like to cook with electric like I do!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use and easy to clean: We bought this new Bosch cooktop to replace an older one. We have been very happy with how quickly it heats up and the choices of burner sizes. Another nice feature is the digital control panel is very easy to clean compared to the knobs on our old cooktop. It was also very easy to learn to use. It is nice to have the heat indicators so that I know when it is OK to clean it. We also have a Bosch dishwasher and mixer that we have been very happy with so we decided to pay a little extra for a Bosch cooktop. The salesman said that an appliance repairman came and without hesitation chose a Bosch cooktop for his own home!

For that reason, we chose a Bosch cooktop. We are retirees and have always enjoyed our own home cooking better than eating out. We really like the intuitive feel of this cooktop. We like the timed cooking feature, the bridge feature and we even use the timer around the kitchen a lot. We found it to be so user friendly that we almost did not need to read the owners manual.

The only issue I have is that the touch button is not very responsive. I thought it would be more fluid like a capacitive touch screen, but it's like a resistive touchscreen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to replace an old cooktop in my countertop. Most everything I looked at had the features we wanted, but were too small. The existing cutout was larger than the overall size of the new cooktops. I was so pleased to find this Bosch model, which has all the features we wanted, and, needed only a minor modification to the cutout to meet Bosch' specs and to provide the best support to the cooktop. I expected to spend hundreds more to get what we wanted/needed but this model came within our budget.

It will boil a large stock pot in 10 mins. All the burners are ultra presise and have half settings. We are very happy with our Bosch 800 Cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my Bosch Electric Cooktop. Was easy to learn how to use it. The only negative is the difficulty in cleaning it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit cooks really well. It holds temps pretty well without a lot of fluctuations. One thing against it is how easily is gets shiny spots that seem to be under the glass and go away gradually or eventually (these are not spill spots). That makes me question the long term reliability. Also, occasionally if liquid splatters out onto the control pad, the whole thing can shut off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Remodeled a house recently and had to purchase a new cooktop. We chose a Bosch and couldn't be more pleased!

It works but it would be better to have a seperate heat control for each burner. If you want to raise or lower temp, you have to select the burner then adjust heat. Then select another burner then change heat.

We purchased an all Bosch kitchen and this one item greatly disappointed us. It will not sustain a rolling boil of 6-8 quarts of water for pasta, soup, etc. We are using quality All-Clad pots and pans. Heat cycles all on or all off making it difficult to precisely control heat for sensitive items. Recommend gas or induction (have not used induction though, just read reviews).

Installation was a breeze. The cooktop is very sleek and easy to clean.

Love this cooktop! No knobs to clean around and simple to use! Bought all Bosch appliances and couldn’t be happier!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are happy overall with our Bosch 800 cooktop however there is one improvement I would recommend. That is to have the on/off button constantly lit. I would also recommend that when the on button is pressed the panel with the heat settings also light up so you can see them in a dim lit kitchen.

Very happy with the controls, looks and functionality. Disappointed with the difficulty in cleaning the surface. The small “matt black” lines in the surface, easily mark up when moving cookware over them. Almost impossible to keep the surface in “like new” condition.

The big burner in the middle is only 9.5”. Therefore it’s too small for a large skillet or stockpot. It lacks power. I routinely have to turn the burners on 8 or 9 just to get my food cooking in a timely manner. The stove looks great, but is very underpowered and has small burner areas.

It is a great cooktop and has met our expectations. I have read prior reviews where customers were concerned about needing a 50 amp circuit to power this unit. The only time it would be an issue is if you turned on all 5 burners at the same time on high. I doubt this would happen with most of us. Testing 3 burners at one time we only registered a 30 amp draw and it was only for a short period as they all tried to reach temp at once. If in doubt, have your electrician check your breakers and wiring.
