I have had three of these ...
I have had three of these ... an original that lasted about a year, a replacement that lasted about three weeks, another replacement that lasted about five months and finally Brita just elected to send me a check to refund me for my efforts. That's too bad because the filter itself seems to fit well and works to filter the water. The mount looks nice on the faucet, BUT the plastic mechanism switch that changes from regular water to filtered water simply doesn't hold up to use. That is what broke on every one of the filter mounts. The plastic switch is either not well-designed or it's too cheaply made for regular use. I liked working with Brita's Customer Service, but I would not recommend the product again and I am left with a whole package of new replacement filters that they do not take back and they also do not (or no longer) offer any recycling program for the older used filters. That's a negative strike.

    Not worth the money
    I purchased this for my kitchen sink. It was hard to install on my sink and every time I moved the faucet from one side to the other the it loosened the filtration piece. My fingers were sore every time I’d have to try and twist it back on so it didn’t leak. Not the best design. Not even a month into having it on my sink the light indicator stopped working.

      Really only got the item for the faucet adapter for...
      Really only got the item for the faucet adapter for an older version of the Brita. I prefer the older model as it has a setting for water spray which is handy when washing dishes in the sink. The new one only has only 2 settings -- seems like a design error to loose that other setting. I just hope my older model holds out (5 years+)!

      Sorely disappointed!
      This is the first time a name I know and trusted has let me down. A month after I installed this water filter, it began leaking in three different locations. Compounding the problem, it does not completely switch off water from the filter, so when using the hot water through the faucet, you also get hot water coming through the water filter portion of the system. per the manufacturer, hot water will ruin the water filter. Total waste of money on this purchase. I DO NOT recommend this product.

          Good product
          This is my second time buying the faucet filtration system. It’s seems to appear that after a while water starts to leak between the faucet and the connector and the system itself. Although I like this product (which is why I bought it twice) I will not keep spending money on a whole new system before I can even replace the filter itself. Now I have plenty of filters but no system to connect them to.

            Selector valve broke
            The quality of water filtration is good. No leaking problems. Since it was new (about two years) the selector valve was very difficult to move. Today when attempting to turn the valve it snapped off. Since I have a few new filters "in stock" I will need to purchase another Brita faucet system. I would probably purchase a PUR if I did not already have the extra water filters.

                Broke after a Year. Mediocre While Working.
                I do think this filter does great at filtering, but the structure is extremely cheap and flimsey. It’s very hard to twist the nob if you have any arthritis. The nob on mine snapped off because it’s so weak.

                  The battery is obviously dead that operates the indicator light. No green, no red. Brand new and nothing. I've been using these things for 14 years so I know how to install them. These units used to be worth the price, now it's nothing but money down the drain. Over the years the batteries in these units have gotten cheaper and less reliable to the point that now they don't work when new. Whats the point of putting a filter on your faucet when there's no way to know if or when it's working?

                      It didn't last 2 months
                      I bought the faucet filter to cut back on single use plastic, but it didn't last as long as the 1st filter. No matter what setting I have it on it leaks out of both sides. So if I have it on filter water will come out on the filter side and the tape side. And if I have it on the top side water will come out on the filter side also. It's like the knob you turn to select what you want just quit working. You can still turn it but it doesn't completely shut off either side.

                        Pay more or buy better
                        [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the basic filter faucet. I keep buying it because it's the cheapest out of all the other faucets. Wrong move. As of today(11/17/22) the filter faucet broke. Since I already bought a replacement filter & wrote on it now I have to go back out and buy a new mount. Thanks for the cheap thrills & expensive repetitiveness.

                          Makes water silky smooth tasting!

All of the “chemical” taste is gone and we r left with just pure, smooth tasting water. And by having the filter on our faucet, we can use it when cooking and have better tasting food.

                            Do not get this! Seriously! Get PUR instead.
                            This water filter is the worst. Replacements leak, the black switch handle is so hard to turn i injured my thumb from repetitive stress, the whole thing leaks, the filter doesn't last long. I had to order new parts from Brita to even put it on in the first place Why would you ever buy this when PUR makes the exact same product with an easier to read filter notifier, the easiest to flip switch in the world, and no leaks? just get the PUR one instead and don't go through what I did!!

                                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I bought this about 2-3 years ago and really loved it. It was convenient because my fridge didn’t have the space for a pitcher or water dispenser. But I eventually gave up on it because when it came to changing the filter it was always a mess. No matter how I inserted the filter it was never correct and water came shooting out of the sides. Plus it was kinda large for my small sink, so washing dishes always took longer than necessary. Either way it’s pretty good, but I just had a bad experience with it.
