Very good quality, basic hood fan, for an excellent price. Easy to install with one person.

This range vent is easy to install and it looks great. It is expensive for a very basic product but it works great. The fan on high works great and the fan on low is barely noticeable. I picked this model because the panel where the switches are is all white and the other one has a black switch panel which doesn't look good to me. Our vent was in the top and it sinked right up with this. Very simple to install. There was a small dent in the back when we got it but you couldn't see it once it was installed.

Product works pretty well. Not top of the line, but works well. Expect to make small alterations during the installation as things don't always line up. Had to move the stack a little bit to make it fit which required a jig saw. A little noisy on high speed, the result of plastic fan blades. That being said, (for the price) the unit looks good and works just fine. I would buy it again.

I bought the Broan 42000 Series 30 IN. Range Hood in White when my older model range hood had stopped working. It required little assembly, looks great, and works perfectly. I did not know what to buy at first, but the product description on the Home Depot website was very accurate and was exactly what I needed.

Easily installed. Easy to follow instructions, replaced old avacado hood. Was as expected.

I had looked at hoods three and four times the price. What decided my purchase was the straight up 7" flue, the same as the one it replaced ( a non-working 30" in a 36" space). I am so glad I got this one rather than the more expensive ones! It is solid, well made, and attractive with simple elegance. It fit right into place. The low fan setting is so quiet we forget to turn it off. The high fan does its job with annoying. The inlet is slanted so that it sucks the collected fumes better than the usual low placed flat inlet. The light takes almost any size bulb (we are using a large CFL) and is easy to access. The bulb is well protected from splatter. This is an excellent hood, why pay more.

Great product, perfect features and easy to install.

These were for a rental remodel. The construction is a little flimsy, but was the least expensive option. They installed quickly and replaced the existing units without problems. I reused the damper from the existing duct work. For the price, they were perfect for my needs.

I like that the fan and light switch are on the outside. At a relative’s house, they have another brand that has the switches up under the inside front of the hood. When I felt around to switch the fan off, the build up of kitchen grime was kind of gross as the greasy residue rubbed off onto my fingers.

1st one only lasted a year before the motor burned out

Everything works, but it's very easy to scratch the paint, even when I handled it carefully.

Looks and fit great. Wanted stainless steel but only available to contractors :-(
