Doesn't really pull the steam from the shower well at all. Just not powerful enough, it seems.

This bathroom fan replacement motor/wheel matched our previous one which lasted 8 years. I like that Home Depot doesn't stop carrying it. It is very easy to install and the price point extremely reasonable.

Fits perfectly in an old model Nutone fan housing
This replaced the original motor in the fan in our second bathroom. Perfect plug and play fit with the old NuTone fan. It's still noisy, but it is listed at 4.0 sones so that was expected and doesn't rattle like the old one. I was going to replace the whole unit, but for the same price I can save a bunch of time and focus on the other parts of the remodel.

The part was not exactly what I needed, but I made adjustments to it would fit the opening of the Nuone exhaust fan that I purchased from Home Depot several years ago.

The repair is easy and straightforward, but this replacement motor seemed to run loud and possibly out of balance. I am still debating whether to return it for a different one. I’m afraid based on the noise level that it won’t last as long as the one it replaced.

The recommended replacement for this product made by Broan NuTone is manufactured with a smaller mounting plate. The original mounting plate is 8” x 8". The plate is too small, and the fan cannot be taken off a new replacement and swapped out with the original fan. Very disappointed with this product. Broan NuTone should be able to support this product with replacement parts or entire assembly replacement.

If you have an 8" x 8" mounting plate, this is not the correct replacement. The square metal plate was not a correct size. I had to remove motor and fan blade and reinstall on old original metal plate. Works fine.

I bought this to replace a bad fan motor that has been in service for several years. It is not a direct replacement and I had to modify the new system with the old to get it to work. It still doesn't fit well.... disappointed.

The product appeared to be satisfactory; however, it was not the correct size for the assembly, and I had to return it. A size that fit in our location was not availble. After determining that the size was incorrect, it was not installed.

Very loud motor and had to be modified to fit my older Broan exhaust fan. On the positive side, it was the only fan replacement on the market and very affordable. Would I buy it again knowing what I know now? Yes, replacing the entire unit in my old house with plaster ceilings was a path I didn't need to go down because of the availability of the replacement motor.

This is not a universal replacement and is likely not the correct part for your unit. We do not recommend making modifications to this assembly to force compatibility. Too loud
This is the correct replacement for my exhaust fan however this is NOT a 4.0 Sones device, using a decibel meter it is closer to 74 dB (4 sones should be just unde 50 dB) so the fan is not operating as intended and apparently based on the 104 reviews on this website saying it’s too loud it’s not a problem with people buying the wrong fan. It’s a problem with the unit or motor.

The cord on this is really short. Difficult to keep plugged in while installing.
