Old style solid Oak wood flooring, has stood the test of time
If you want a floor that feels solid and has the warmth of real wood, this product is a great choice. Made of solid 3/4" Oak hardwood, this flooring will last for many years. Since the color doesn't penetrate deeply into the wood, it can be sanded off easily to change the look. Also because of this, I recommend sealing your floor once it is laid as the color can be easily scratched through. Note the picture I included that shows where I used 220 grit sandpaper and lightly sanded as well as scraping metal across it leaving scratches. This is normal for real hardwood flooring.

Solid 3/4" Oak hardwood flooring, not engineered wood
I chose this flooring because it is real 3/4" solid Oak wood. This is what old homes were built with and it stands the test of time. While it is hardwood and has a finish on the top surface, I highly recommend putting a topcoat finish such as Polyurethane on it once it is installed. The finish that is on this is not deep and will scratch through easily if not sealed. If you are looking for a traditional hardwood floor that can be refinished many times through the years, this is a good choice.

Great Flooring
Fantastic Product, easy to install. The boxes have enough varying sizes of pieces to reduce the need for cutting. I love it so much I will be flooring my master bedroom next. I used it on my stair landing and my L shaped bedroom hall.

Solid hardwood tongue and groove flooring will save money..
This solid hardwood tongue and groove flooring really is solid hardwood and a full 3/4". The low gloss gray finish is all most a perfect match to my laundry room floor. My washer and dryer will be on a raised floor which has 1 foot on center floor joists. So the 3/4" flooring will be strong enough to hold the weight of the Washer and dryer with out a sub floor. That's why I got the 3/4" flooring to save me a little money. At 68 every dollar counts. Good luck with all your projects.

Fantastic Solid Oak Flooring!
I requested this solid hardwood oak flooring through the Home Depot Seeds reviewer program this month so that I could put down a new floor in our enclosed front porch. The flooring out there has very bad cupping after more than 30 years of being partially exposed to the elements (no insulation in those walls) to the point our new storm door can't seal to the floor when closed. So I'm removing all our items from the porch, pulling up all the flooring out there, installing rockwool insulation in the floor joists and finally installing this new flooring. I'll also be using outdoor-rated construction screws that are narrower to secure the flooring to the joists in lieu of nailing. That should provide a beautiful solid floor that looks great for decades to come! As a side benefit, this flooring had one box damaged on the end, and the shipper asked me to sign a release. After inspecting the product, it turned out the flooring survived without a scratch! That's durability!

great flooring
The Bruce Plano Low Gross Taupe 3/4in. thick x 4in. wide and varying length solid oak hardwood flooring ( 18.5sq.ft./case ) is a very good looking tongue and groove oak flooring. I want to replace my dinning room carpet with this beautiful Taupe hardwood flooring. This flooring is a nail down type of installation. The planks are various lengths with a nice low gloss finish. Very good quality oak flooring from the Bruce company.

Came out great
I am so happy with my selection of the Bruce Plano Marsh . the one negative i kept seeing was the amount of waste in some of the boxes . so I anticipated unusable pieces . I was installing close to 900 sq. Ft. Of flooring, which recommended calculated to 45 boxes . The wood Gods must have been on my side , we had ZERO bad pieces out of 39 boxes . I had 6 boxes left , so we did another room and 2 closets with the remaining boxes , and still had one box left .

    Hardwood for the bedrooms
We bought this flooring to replace the 25-year-old carpeting in our three bedrooms. We wanted to match the existing 3.25” hardwood, and this looked pretty close. We bought a total of 27 boxes in three different batches. We experienced the positives and negatives noted in previous reviews. There are lots of different colors (but we like that), varying widths (in the first batch) and quality of pieces (third batch – no tongue, shredded edges in the grooves, lots of filler). We had the advantage of having three closets, so if there were problems, we could always set boards aside and use them there. I gave this product 4 stars because I think it looks great and it's a great price. If we had stopped after the second batch, which was pretty close to perfect, I would have given it a 5. Bottom line, we would buy this again.

      It was worth it
I was so happy that Home Depot still carry this brand of hardwood I had it installed 10 years ago in my living room and it still looks great. This time I had it installed in two bedroom and they look wonderful.

          Great quality flooring and affordable!
After shopping for 2 months, decided on the Bruce Plano Oak flooring - really good price. Installed 800 sq ft myself...took a lot of work and there was definitely some waste...I planned for an extra 10%, which was more than enough. Lots of smaller pieces I tried to avoid and only used where needed. Very happy with the results. Only issue, was that I planned for 4-6 week delivery, but order was somehow on processed correctly, requiring following up with HD customer service, who were amazingly helpful. Order ended up taking only an additional 2 weeks. So, it didn't blow out my plans too much. Would recommend.

The worst flooring I have ever used
I was cautiously optimistic in giving this flooring a chance. Turns out it's honestly the worst flooring I have ever used. Out of 12 boxes, around half of all the flooring is basically cut-offs about 10" long. Minor annoyance, definitely not too bad. I then came to find that the boards vary not only in depth, but width also (by as much as ⅛"). I'm not going to sand down and refinish after and I can even deal with the slightly varying depths, but the variance of the widths, especially with a majority of the pieces being short, make this hands down the worst, most difficult, and most frustrating flooring I have ever used. Guess I gotta go break open every box and sort them by width. All of the pictures are of boards picked from one box.

            Hi there!

Thank you for taking the time to enter your comments about this flooring product.

The Plano flooring collection is part of Bruce’s Natural Grade category which features a greater amount of visual character, such as wider color and grain variation, mineral streaks, knots and small holes as well as minor milling imperfections. I took a chance on a customers floor using this product because i loce to support made in USA companies. About P of the cuts are off. You WILL HAVE GAPS. a few pieces were also very dark or very light. After contacting the company, they told me to take it up with HD. They only let you add 1 pic

                Couldn't be happier!
I just finished installing about 650 sq/ft of this flooring across three different rooms. Like the title says, I couldn't be happier. The finish is true to the picture shown and the quality of the milling was quite good. I'm not a professional but I have installed hardwood flooring in the past. I don't believe any prefinished hardwood is without minor flaws. Anytime you have a solid piece of wood you will have some degree of warping or boards with a crown to them. I was concerned at this price point that I would run into those problems but there was very little of either in the boxes I received. I had ordered about 15% over what I needed incase I ran into poorly milled boards that I couldn't use but it proved to have been unnecessary. I was able to return the unused boxes for a full refund. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

                  product
fabulous product! some of the reviews made us nervous but we decided to see for ourselves. we used Bruce engineered hardwood previously about 15 years ago and loved it. I had never installed actual hardwood before but figured I would give it a try. the install was a lot easier and went a lot faster than we anticipated. as far as other reviews, I had no waste; the rare board that had a bad spot was easily used somewhere else. the boards were very straight so I rarely had to pull any straight to nail down. just can't say enough about how happy we are with this particular hardwood.

This product is very nice quality for the money! It looks great installed and sits well with the rest of the original hardware in our home. Took 1.5-2 work days to install. Almost done photo.... just needs base molding

This product is fantastic. The color is amazing and looks super sharp. Gives the area a clean look. The quality has been top notch. Very little waste and there are many long boards. The people leaving poor reviews don’t know what they are doing #karen

Do not even think about it
This product is horrible. It took my contractors 4x as long to install as many peices were of varying widths creating unsightly gaps between the planks. Im not sure whar happened to the reviews on here as there were numerous reviews that mentioned this issue and they all seem to have dissaleared. Also, way to many small peices. Again, just avoid this product if possible.
