Really low quality grade of lumber which makes installation very difficult.

A bit too much color variance. I got quite some complaints about the quality from my contractor, some planks are not straight, leaving big gaps and making them difficult to install.

I guess if you are careful and picky you can make this flooring work. There were many pieces that were not usable! That being said if you really want this flooring it will work if you order 20% more than what's needed. I think it still beats installing hardwood and having to finish it.

We were trying to match the hardwood we had previously installed and were unable to find it. We were looking for Gunstock 3/4 in #12-12 and you had Gunstock 3/4 in #12-11 and it blended in very well. Looks wonderful!

As long as you pick out and not use the bad pieces (which is reflected in the sales price), you’ll wind up with a really nice floor at a very reasonable price.

I have laid plenty of laminate floors, but had never tried laying a hardwood floor. I selected this product due to the quality of the samples and other reviews. I found the product better than most reviews. I did find some “bad” boards, but not nearly as many as I expected given many reviews. The color uniformity was good across many boxes (I purchased 34 boxes for about 650 sqft of floor). I do recommend, as is suggested by nearly everyone, that you work from 4 or 5 boxes at at time, thought. Not so much for color uniformity but for length variety. Some boxes were nearly all long boards and some were nearly all short boards. And where I wanted a randomness to the flooring, that sometimes created difficultly. Home Depot’s service was horrible. I ordered the product shipped to store for pickup, and they left it outside in the rain. Fortunately, I had no obvious damage despite the foolish care by Home Depot. And the customer service desk was nearly useless. After the experience I have had with my last several orders at Home Depot, I have changed primarily to buying elsewhere. It is sad, as I have been a nearly exclusive buyer from Home Depot for the last 15 years.

I bought the floor for a 240 square foot living room and put it in a day and it looks really nice. Its an economy floor and it shows in lumber grade and milling quality. If you want perfect plan to shell out quite a bit more money. Great product for what it is.
