I was excited to see these newer style LED bulbs which more approach the look of the incandescent type bulbs. This to me is more important in fixtures where you see the bulb more, like a ceiling fan or chandelier. I bought these bulbs with a room in mind, but the color of the light was a little more yellow than I liked. No problem - I moved it into another room and it works and looks great. These replaced 40W appliance type bulbs in a ceiling fan, so with this new style, it looks great (hard to tell from the picture) and actually gives out more light than the old bulbs. Very pleased with these. Rating on the cost is good, since it is a little pricey, but you pay for quality and looks. I like how these bulbs came packaged - in a box and inside the box protected with a plastic shell. This light fixture doesn't have a dimmer, but I bought bulbs from this manufacturer for another fixture and they dimmed w/no issues.

BULBRITE LED Filament bulb Sometimes manufacturers just sandwich bulbs in between cardstock and plastic which is economical but not very protective. Some may wrap bulbs in plastic bubble sheets or suspended in a paper inside of cardboard. This product is shipped inside of a clear styrene clamshell that holds the lamps securely and then placed in a box made of cardstock. The manufacturers packaging is excellent and atypical of most other bulbs I have purchased. The only time I have seen sturdier packaging is with high pressure xenon or metal halide bulbs. The bulb itself is very well made with a classic, stylish look similar to a small jalapeno pepper. The glass envelope is bonded to the metal threaded medium standard base without excess sealant. The light producing LED strips are very attractive resembling the filaments of a lily flower even when the power is off. The spectrum these produce is a nice warm hue that is not harsh to the eye. The bulbs do not get overly hot even after prolonged use. I especially like them because they achieve full brightness almost immediately unlike CFL bulbs and simulate the brightness of the old incandescent bulbs but are energy efficient. I am pleased with the additional amount of light provided by these bulbs and will be replacing many CFL bulbs we have been using in other fixtures. These bulbs are dimmable as well. There is no buzzing or hum that CFL bulbs have.

i ordered these from home depot to add worm light to my living area and are good to use as stand alone or in a compatible lamp or ceiling mount the effect of worm light is great to have. This bulb worked perfectly in the lighting hood fixtures that I have. So much so that I want to place all of them. The lighting quality is perfect for this application and gives off just as much light as the old incandescent bulb with very little heat and a fraction of the power use. (4 watts vs.40) The great thing about the long bulb is that it does the work of two bulbs so I'm able to do away with one bulb completely. I'm going to replace all of the short bulbs too as soon as possible but until then because of the nice warm color of the light, they match perfectly with the old bulbs. Yay for saving energy. These aren't cheap though and it's been hard to find them on sale because of their special application.

I wish that it could be 60 watt, and had one more filament to better fit the glass length. Other than that, these filament style lamps are great because when dimmed, they are as warm as the old tungsten bulbs!

GREAT LIGHT LOOKS LIKE THE REAL THING

I absolutely love these LED Filament bulbs. They have a standard base and will fit in all your beautiful lamps. I use them in every room in my home and leave them on 24/7 for a sense of security, and a romantic glow at night. These bulbs are only 4-watts, so you will never see an increase in your electric bill! So add a glow of soft light to your home both day and night.

We always hated leaving our outside entry lights on all night, it was expensive. These new LED's are just the ticket for that. Our power consumption now is less than one forth and we are getting more light. The longevity of the bulbs is a bonus too, and just changing the bulbs was always such a hassle as our fixtures are huge and care must be taken in their removal to replace bulbs.

These LED filament bulbs were placed in a fixture that hangs above a table and exposes the bulbs. They are replacing other LED bulbs that have a frosted plastic cover. These clear bulbs are visually more appealing than the frosted bulbs. Visible light wise these bulbs cast just as much light at 4w as the 5.3w bulbs they have replaced. They appear to match the color of the other bulbs as well. They too were rated at 2700k. I find these to be a nice upgrade to a fixture where visible aesthetics are equally important to good light.

These are a bit longer than I expected so they don't fit where I intended to put them, but they are so cool that I am going to get a fixture to fit them. They are LED's but give the appearance of an old tungsten globe reminisces of a Humfrey Bogart movie. The color temp is warm, not the bright white of typical LED's. These defiantly have the cool factor.
