I did it with my girl scout troop. It went well.

Have a drill handy to pre drill the holes before the kids nail the house together. It will make it a lot easier. And I would advise getting a few extra nails too, as the kit comes with exactly what you need. We had a fair amount that bent the nails. This project was done with a group of Girl Scouts, grades 4 thru 8.

Bought this for my 6 year old granddaughter. She is all in to DIY. She loved this!

The quality of the front of the house is lesser than the rest but easy to construct and very nice size and good looking

Easy to assemble

These kits are often made by children. I used them for VBS kids in 4th thru 6th grade. Several girls were new to hammering nails. The nails could be thicker, since the wood is thick, and the nails need a head on them, not rounded as are finishing nails. The nails bent too easily, and they were a little difficult to hold while hammering. The wood and design were great.

My austistic grandson enjoyed building and painting his butterfly house with a little direction from his grandpa.

If painting, make sure to do at least 2 layers of paint. Easy to paint and looks great! Good size. Fun project for adults and kids.

The house was a cute quick and easy project for my Girl Scout troop to put together as a decoration for the butterfly garden they planted.

Easy assembly. Bottom piece needs couple holes to release rainwater

BUTTERFLIES DO NOT USE HOUSES. Don't waste your money. The project appears simple enough, and it would be fun to build something with my daughter, but this structure will only encourage Wasps, Ants, and Spiders to move in -- you will not be raising any butterflies. Nice butterfly house, takes 15 minutes or less to nail together.

Extremely easy to assemble and even more fun to decorate. I was delighted to see that this product existed and it is a wonderful addition to the milkweed garden!

If you are looking for a project for kids this is a good one, if you think you will be saving butterflies, you're mistaken. Butterflies don't use homes like thins however you will find that wasps love them!!!!

Kit was as pictured. Easy to put together. However, nails were not included in my kit.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my grandson who is 6. He needed help but it was a fun project for him to do. I recommend it highly.
