After a great deal of research we decided to purchase this amazing GE Café Series 30" Slide-In Front Control Gas Double Oven with Convection Range. This unit actually performs just as good if not better than the commercial models. We love and our meals always turn out awesome! Highly recommend the Café Range!!!

I bought this stove back in 2014 and I have replaced the lower oven igniter glow bar five times and the top oven thermostat.

When I bought this last year I had already done my canning this was supposed to be a high heat stone well it’s not I’ve been sitting here for 35 40 minutes waiting for it to reach 10 pounds of pressure the needle has not moved off of 3 pounds of pressure very disappointed the small oven on the top which is the one I use most of the time takes forever to heat so you know how the bottom would be you might as well not even try to cook. I wish I had not of already done my canning last year when I bought this because it would’ve definitely gone back to the store but the only thing I can say is I’m building a new house so I will not have to keep these appliances they will go with my old house and there will be no GE in my new house

I boiled two large pots of water and now the power boiler burner won't come off. I was able to look under it a little since I cannot remove the screws due to the power boiler not coming off and it appears the aluminum melted. I regularly take these burners off to clean the cook top so this happen quickly. The problem I have is that this is the second power boil burner I'm on in 5 years . The original one warped causing the flame to burn uneven. It appears this burner has an integrity issue over time. I have propane and it is converted. Very dangerous if the metal cannot handle the heat!

The burned igniter in lower convection oven after two years. It just broke into pieces. I do bake bread at 490 F twice a week, sometimes less. Random baking at 350 F.

All features work well. Have used 16 mo. No problems. So far...super!

I bought this oven and (thankfully) the 5 year warranty. The igniter breaks every 3-5 months. It was replaved under the warranty two years ago, after breaking the day my daughter was having a birthday party with a dozen friends coming over for a bake-off birthday party. The Thanksgiving turkey had to be roasted in the top oven. No Christmas cookies that year either. The top oven is useless for even baking. Finally after many repair attempts the oven was replaced. And now we have the same problem with the new oven. Constant repairs to the igniter. It seems the deflector cannot handle the heat and burns a hole which causes the metal to disintegrate and break the igniter. Will never buy a GE product again. Design 101 should indicate making sure your oven materials can handle heat

This is a serious piece of equipment! My kitchen remodel was fitted with a complete "Cafe" line of appliances and I am so pleased with the look and performance....

I absolutely love to cook and had always wanted a gas range. After looking at reviews, I had no doubt that this would be the one I would purchase. Even though it says dual fuel, it is primarily gas except for the convection feature. I had never used a gas oven but it is amazing to cook with!! The cake I baked using the convection oven came out better than I could of dreamed!! Even though the lower oven is low...the slide out rack makes it easy to use. I love the top oven which cooks perfect...just use a little lower temp for pizza to keep the crust from getting too brown. The grates on top make for easy clean up and the griddle is an extra plus. I would highly recommend this range for anyone who loves to cook!!

I have owned this range for 2.5 years and have had to replace the ignitor twice in the past 3 months. The element broke both times, see picture (We only used the oven a handful of times before it happened again). It is a beautiful appliance; however, I would not expect this many repairs in such a short time. Very disappointed.

I love the look and feel of this stove. It's gorgeous, works very well and is the jewel in the kitchen. That said, the architecture of the back panel leaves something to be desired. Our gas supply line came out of the floor on the right side of the stove cavity, but this particular unit is designed only for the gas line to come out of the floor on the left. We had to pay a guy to come out and move our gas line out of the way on order to not have a 4-6" gap behind the stove. Even so, we have about a 1" gap today, and that's after installing a recessed outlet to get the plug out of the way. You may want to check the placement of your gas line before purchasing.

I love gas and have wanted one for years. My wife bought this for me as our 50th anniversary present. It is very heavy indicating it is well built. It is a 30 inch range so the middle burner/grille is a little small. At first I was confused by two different types of controls for the ovens. (Upper) Uses a mechanical valve and igniter, you turn the knob for the desired temperature. (Lower) Has an electronic display in the middle of the stove. Offers all the features that only electronic panels can provide. Now for the negatives: The adjustable legs on the bottom are hard to adjust and they do not slide well on the floor. I have marks from just sliding the stove into the cabinet. I got one of the newest models and it has a manufacturing error. Instead of the Upper oven control being labeled as "Upper" it is labeled "Lower". GE service has order two replacements but both were wrong. They are on their third attempt. See photo below.

We searched for a few months for a nice looking gas range with great reviews. Pinterest was very helpful. Drove to many stores to check out the current supply of ranges and this one just seemed perfect. We are very pleased with our purchase and have no complaints. Food does cook faster than the recommended time on all recipes that I have baked to date.

With large baking oven, smaller warming/broiling oven and Adventium overhead we now have the best flexibility imaginable to make the most creative meals. The cooktop adds to and complements the mix, plus easy to clean Just wish it was a better fit, but my installer resolved that issue - what happened to the little wings that sat on the counter-top on yesteryears models!

So i had a microwave that hadnt cleaned in at least a year. Gross i know. Every time i looked in there i dreaded the thought of cleaning it. As you can tell in the before pictures (top and bottom left) it was a disaster zone. But with this magic stuff it wasn't even fives minutes til my microwave looked like new. I sprayed it in there and waited two minutes. I wiped it down worth a soft sponge and then dried it. And now look at that microwave!! :) Now on to my range, I'm writing this review as I'm cleaning. So far I'm letting it sit for five minutes because there is a ton of grease splatter. Five minutes are done. So i use the sponge and paper towel. This stuff is awesome!! Take a look at the before and after pictures. Top and bottom left are before. Top right is in the process and bottom right is after (keep in mind the brown/black rings around the burners are scorch marks, they can't be cleaned off). I love love love this stuff!!!

i have had this range for 6-8months and love it. i would never go back to anything other than gas. the stove is very heavy duty and perfect for what i wanted. everyone that has seen it has commented on how nice it looks too. my husband ok'd for me to order a bigger range like this but i could not justify paying 7k+ for a range. this one has an awesome look and so easy to clean. i will say the lower oven is useless as it takes way too long to preheat. when i have just one small dish to cook i use a counter top conv oven instead. my only other complaint is i wish the timer and preheat beeper was a tad louder but def not a deal breaker. i read endless reviews on all types of ranges so wanted to take the time to write this one on how happy i am with my purchase. i would buy it again tomorrow! also, in the pics below the side of the range exposed was black. i painted it grey to match cabinets. yes, you can paint metal. it is perfect!

With the double ovens, powerful burners and handy, removable griddle, we're loving the Cafe Series range we purchased. Combined with the Cafe Series microwave/convection oven we purchased, we can prepare multiple foods at once quickly and easily, so we're looking forward to cooking for the holidays with friends and family. It's usually a headache trying to time everything out with only one oven, but now we're ready. I'd definitely recommend this range to anyone!

I researched ranges for a year as we built our new home I decided this was my dream range after reading endless reviews. Now, a year and a half later, I no longer bake. Why? Because my "dream range" burns the bottom of almost everything I bake, while the insides remain under baked and the tops (in the case of pizzas and similar items) are frozen. I have to turn on the broiler to cook the top of a pizza after the bottom is already black. I can't express my disappointment enough. I dreamed of new kitchen appliances. Little did I know I would be stuck with an appliance that keeps me from doing simple things like baking cookies for my kids. The cooktop, however, is AWESOME. Go figure.

Purchased this very expensive stove, when installed the left front "power boil" burner has 4 inch flames exceeding the grill on the right side of the burner and no flames on the left side of the burner. GE Certified Technician was sent to repair, ordered new parts telling me the orifice holes were improperly drilled. He ordered new parts and came to my home 3 weeks in a row. Each new part was worse than the original. GE Customer Care told me "That's as good as it gets" and refused to send out another technician. When the burner did not light at all on the left side the Technician came again. He phoned 3 Other GE Certified Technicians from my home and they all told him the problem was not fixable. My husband and I googled the problem and found numerous other Purchasees who had the same problem and posted the problems on UTUBE. DON'T Purchase this Stove, or other GE Products as they are completely unwilling to resovle their problems.

I bought all GE Cafe appliances (so they'd match). The dual oven range is nice; it offers a lot of flexibility. Odd that the top oven is an old-school twist knob operation, while the lower oven is a touchpad. The finish looks great for about a month, but the stainless steel is disappointingly soft and will scratch with even the lightest touch. Shame on GE when I'd expect them to know that pots and pans frequently visit the surfaces, and given that they touch hot flames, they're going to be made out of hard materials. Even everyday cleaning (using soft materials only; no abrasives) has left fine scratches on the surfaces. After only 2 years, I'm wanting a new range if only for not having something that's all scratched up (and I'm very careful about how I use/clean this appliance). I've also had one of the flame distributors fail (fire was only exiting 1/4 of the circle), so that needed replacement. I would not recommend this range/oven; spend your hard-earned money elsewhere and learn from my mistake.

Excellent gas range! Just what we were looking for to add to our new kitchen remodel. Everyone wants their turn to fix dinner now! Loads of oooos and ahhhs on this one!

Great Double Oven! It's easy to use, cooks and baked very well. Convection baking and roasting is nice. For a free standing double oven, we are happy with the oven sizes too.

We have had our stove for over 10 years and it still looks great in our kitchen.

This is the most expensive non-working oven we have ever owned. Upper oven takes 45 minutes to preheat and lower oven ignitor has been replaced but pops when preheating so lower oven is not usable.

My convection over is not getting to temperature, reads 350 but it is only at 300, I need to recalibrate it and don’t have the manual, can you help?

This range came with a house I bought summer of '19. Since then, I've replaced oven igniters a half dozen times. Most recently, one of them failed at the start of a "make your own pizza" party for 20 people. Very bad timing. Has anyone found a source of igniters that actually last? (I've tried both OEM and other parts.)

When we first got this cafe range oven I loved it, it’s beautiful and sleek. Before the two year warranty was up it started acting up. the oven control panel was not working in the middle of me cooking I would have to open and close the oven doors before the touchpad would react to me. It would also turn off the bottom oven if I opened it to check on the food so GE sent repair people and they replaced the control panel, the same thing still happens occasionally and it is very frustrating. The control panel itself has a design flaw, if you open the oven door and moisture comes out from the food you’re cooking the touchpad will not work until you dry it off and let it cool for a minute. This double oven/stove unit has also multiple times stopped working all together I was using burners and both ovens and the oven wouldn’t finish preheating the burners weren’t hot we had to reset the oven and it would work again but that has happened multiple times and in the middle of cooking when it stops heating you can’t really tell until it seems like things have stopped cooking all the lights and things stay on. Out of the 4 elements on the stovetop only the front right has ever worked well the others take forever to heat anything and it is very noticeable. Now it’s been about 3 years and that element has stopped working and the hot stovetop light won’t go off. I am extremely disappointed in this appliance I would expect it to last at least 10years but I don’t know if It will make it 5.
