Very well made and looks nice in our backyard

I bought a $99 umbrella from Home Depot a year ago that is much better in usability and size than this $200 umbrella. The crank is difficult to turn especially for it to tilt. I am a weight lifter. Also it’s smaller in size than my cheaper 9” umbrella. The blue color is lighter than I expected also. Not a good value for my money.

High quality sturdy umbrella

Attractive umbrella made of good quality olefin fabric that holds up better than the thin polyester that many cheaper umbrellas are made of. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the sheath in which the crank mechanism sits is made of plastic vs. metal, unlike my old umbrella. Wondering how well that will hold up over time. Otherwise, as expected.

We've had two of these California umbrellas, but despite their much higher price their quality was lower than those of other companies' products we've had over the years. In both umbrellas the stitching unravelled quickly. In both, the cable broke (with only moderate usage in an inland location) and there is apparently no cost-effective way to repair. In all cases, this occurred within a year or two, but outside the warranty period. (Other companies offer lifetime warranties) What was most annoying was the zero responsiveness by "customer service": no regrets, no offer of help. Nothing. Given the alternatives with better prices, we will never go back to this company.

Installed umbrella into patio table's hole and into heavy base, for one day. While opened, A gust of wind came up and the pole bend forward. when we straightened it out, it bent completely off. Home Depot refunded our $220. Disappointed in quality.

This company is a joke to put it nicely. I ordered this umbrella May 9th. When ordering it stated a week or so for shipping. Which my plan was to have it by Memorial day weekend for a get together and also the weekend of the 21st for a graduation party. Well the first date came and went then they changed it to the 21st which was a Friday with the party on Saturday I was somewhat okay with this however the umbrella status still stated that the order was being processed. I was confused why it was still in processing for over a week but was hopeful. Especially since they failed to stand by their word with their original date that most companies would make a wrong right for a customer. Then as the 21st was coming up status was and stayed in "order still processing" the 21st came and went once again with no word from this company nor Home depot. After that weekend of disappointment I was sure to call and start with Home Depot since this product was purchased there. Well they were just ad useless. Basically they have this ridiculous procedure that caters to them at their needs and does nothing to help customers no matter the situation. Which is outrageous! How is one of your companies who you allowed to basically lie to your customers and you're okay with that. So when I called or was online with them I was told of this procedure. Let me inform you of this ridiculous process. Basically you could die from a product these customer service people then put a ticket I'm for a group of people to at some point in the next couple weeks Basically when they feel like it will "look into it" I then informed them that weeks after I buy something we are past you "reviewing it" I mean after all they were more than willing to take my money and on the Home Depot they now took away my ability to cancel. I stated I want something done not reviewed! No one could explain why weeks later it was still in processing. Well quite frankly no one has at no point has got ahold of me still! This is crazy from a big store much less franchise that this is how things are handled. As far as the company that ships or makes the product they never even responded to any of my requests for information. Tomorrow is Friday and guess who will be recieving a very special phone calll tomorrow. We are past the point of liberal friendly interaction or excuses and of course responding about the ridiculous customer service they have and the "procedure" they use. Every other store I've ever heard of handles each case differently but you talk to a manager or customer service rep who 99% make the situation right or at the very least get you some information. This all of this is definitely not acceptable from a store or franchise such as this.

This is the second umbrella I’ve bought - the one I bought last year has held up beautifully so I decided to purchase one for the other side of the yard. I would recommend.

I contacted customer support through email and phone, but they ignore my complaint and even thus they promised a response they disappeared. According to Jess from their customer support - the product is not meant to outdoor if there is rain. Here is Seattle it often rain and disassembling the umbrella every time it rains would be too much of a hassle. What is the use of quality Sunbrella fabric that can resist mildew and rain if the umbrella pole and ribs are made from rusted low quality very thin metal? In my product the pole came with two dents, one Jess claimed to be by design, the other was not even coated in protective paint. Since Jess never returned to me and trying to call back several times did not help - I will be returning this product back to Home Depot. Please save yourself the pain and time.

We specifically choose this umbrella because it is made using Sunbrella outdoor fabric. The fabric is more sturdy than some of the less expensive umbrellas. It looks great. Love the bright color. Crank mechanism and stand are good. Ordering and delivery worked out great.
