Good quality shorts. However, what happened to the heavyweight canvas? This material is much lighter than I expected/hoped. And what happened to the inseams? You used to have a selection that included a shorter inseam that I could not find, and would have preferred.

Great work shorts. Durable and light weight. One thing I do is add a snap to the right lower pocket to avoid my knife from slipping out while on the tractor.

This is my second pair of these and they are a little smaller in the waist but that's OK..

These run small. My husband has a pair of Carthartt Loose Fit Utility Jeans in a size 34X30 and they are actually slightly big on him. Ordered these, Loose Fit in 34 and they are about an inch away from being able to button them. Disappointed that I have to return them.

Shorten them about 1 1/2 inches. Leg is a little too baggy. Take up the leg. Make these shorts 'A LITTLE LESS LOOSE'. QUITE A WASTE OF CLOTH. TRIM DOWN THE FITMENT.

I have been wearing these shorts for almost 30 years everyday. I usually have 25 pair or so on hand at anytime in various states of wear. I'm disappointed that the leg changed and the length has gotten so long (10"). Please bring back the 8" inseam version... have both 8" and 10" and let the buyer chose. 5 stars if the length hadn't changed.

The fabric not the same. You used to have tougher fabric. Also, they are way tooooo long. Bring back the 8 in.

I purchased 2 pairs to replace my single pair that I had worn out. The loose fit are the way to go if you have issues with never having enough room in shorts when sitting or working. I wish carhartt would have more short styles and colors in loose fit.

Mine wear out pretty quickly. I Wish black was still an option. Can't buy them anymore cause my job requires black. And wish they had a pencil pocket for left handed people.

Been purchasing Carhartt products exclusively for the last 3 decades. Durable quality. Recently purchased shorts are nothing less than Carhartts normal standard for quality.

Look, fit, utility, are all what expect and desire. Great for everyday work/use.

Even though it says loose fit, these shorts are sized really small. I wear a 33 waist and I can barely get them buttoned.

For home handy-man jobs these are great. I can also take them in public and not look like Joe Tool. Inseam length is perfect, thank you for not making short-shorts! The hammer loop needs to go and size up if you're not sure.

the shorts are light enough for the summer heat and durable enough so far for my job as a mason contractor. Enough room to move for the constant climbing and bending on the job.

First, when you can get the right waist fit, these are great shorts. I have a 34 inch waist, I have to order 36 to have them fit right, which is ok. Problem is I just ordered two pair of 36’s, tried one pair on , fit was great so I washed both pair. When I went to wear the second pair, the waist was extremely small, more like a 33 or 34, even though both said 36 on the tags. Quality control issue? I don’t know. I haven’t called to complain, now I hesitate to order anymore online and can’t find the B147’s anywhere in the stores locally.

These are great comfortable shorts. I mis the old duck cloth version. These are a good 2nd. choice.

I thought I was ordering the original heavy duty work shorts but apparently they aren’t made anymore. These say “original “ but they’re not.

3 stars out of frustration with inseam lengths. Would have been 5 stars and a larger purchase if you hadn't discontinued the B144. I just purchased one pair of shorts. I would have purchased more if you had shorter inseam lengths. In the past you did. In particular you had the B144, a great work short with an 8 inch inseam, necessary pockets, and available in light colors to work in the hot sun. I would order several every summer and wear the heck out of them. I didn't purchase any last summer because of my frustration with the inseam lengths. I have also noticed that many customers also loved the B144 for it's shorter inseam and have commented so. Bring back the B144. There is no substitute for a great work short.

The Heather Blue and the Green pill badly, especially the collar. The standard colors are excellent and are a great fit and value.

Service and shipping were great but the size is way off! I normally wear 33-34 waist ( all my other pants and shorts) but these things aren’t even close so I will send back and try again!

Great fitting shorts (size 34 waist). As a carpenter the pockets and loop are perfect for day to day tasks. Bought two pairs to try the fit. Going to buy three more to round out the work week for summer heat. Highly recommend.
