My needs are wide bandwidth for FM and Ch. 13 along with a complement of UHF channels. I've an easy 12 mile line of sight to the transmitter cluster and wanted enough metal up there to split for the stereo receiver without an amplifier. This old school log/yagi combo fits my needs perfectly.

The antenna was already put together just a matter of unfolding it prior to installation. It pulls in stations as advertised with clear reception even on stormy days. I like it.

If you live where you need RF channels 2-36, this antenna should be on your short list. Small enough to not be a eyesore yet has enpugh gain to pull in stations from over 50 miles out with ease.

This compact channel 2-51 antenna has enough gain to pull in distant stations and a wide enough pattern to use without a rotor. This antenna unlike most is designed to pull in every tv frequency used so you won't miss a single station.

For the price these antennas do everything expected in our area. I’m sure they will work just fine in most any other area to within the distance limits.

After a decade in the Arizona sun the plastic insulators...
After a decade in the Arizona sun the plastic insulators on my old antenna were starting to crack up. The other issue was the old antenna was oversized, which makes it unnecessarily directional. This new one was sized right for a suburbinal situation, my location being about 18 miles from the TV stations. Although this antenna was a bit larger than some of the newer digital TV antennas, it had two features I liked: it did not have an amplifier or booster built in, and it included FM radio. (I split the signal at my entertainment center to I can get a good clean signal to my FM receiver.) Not having an amplifier means it doesn't have bunch of transistors up on the antenna to age and burn out, yielding the antenna prematurely useless. (Remember, I try to get a decade out of them!) The installation was straight forward, remove the old broken antenna and put up the new, carefully unfolding the elements so they don't get bent or broken. I like to use coax, so I was happy to see the antenna also included a new balun (transformer). I use electrical tape to secure the wire to the antenna boom and down the mast, which makes for a neat installation without risking a pinch or kink on the antenna wire, which was also replaced at the time. (That stuff gets old too.) I also made sure my antenna mast ground wire was securely connected to the mast and to a ground rod at the other end. (New electrical code also requires the antenna to be connected to a connection point to the house electrical ground system, this may be issue, depending on where you live. If you're putting up a new installation, this is a must.) After install, the overall performance was great, I've got all my channels back along with FM radio.

Very easy assembly, as all you do is move elements into place. Good quality build. Unfortunately it did not work for me when placed in the attic and I am 26 miles from transmitting tower and nothing in the way. Maybe the 45 mile claim is a bit overstated.I would have preferred to use a UHF only antenna but TV Ch 7 in NYC is VHF-Hi forcing me to use a dual band antenna like this. Ill be adding an amp to see if that helps, if not it will be a trip to the roof where I'm sure it will work fine.

The antenna came in good condition and was easy to complete the assembly. NOTE: it comes with a 300 to 75 ohm converter and a bast U bracket - so you don't need to order them separately. I saw that the mention of other people ordering these items at the bottom of the page and thought i needed to order them separately.

Needed a UHF and VHF-Hi antenna for indoor/ attic mounting...
Needed a UHF and VHF-Hi antenna for indoor/ attic mounting in the San Francisco area. Both multi station broad cast towers are located within a 7 degree arc less than 20 miles away. Being mounted indoor and only 8 ft above ground level with other buildings in the path, the existing smaller antenna was lacking in performance. This antenna provided (DTV) 90%+ signal level ( TV indicated signal strength) on all UHF and 85% on the VHF-Hi channels. No analog signals were scanned. If this antenna were outside on a pole say 15 feet up I believe it would hit 99% for all channels ( we have over 80+ here). Antenna is 300 ohm but a 75 ohm matching transformer was included. Note that the antenna is not small and the VHF elements stick out some. HD delivered to home and it arrived on a Sunday - all within a week from ordering. Total cost under $60 including tax and shipping. USA manufacture.

The antenna is very directional. be sure to go to Channel Masters web site and put in your address for the direction to point your antenna. It will show you the stations and you may have to split the difference in where you point the antenna. I put a cheap signal amp on the end of the cable at the tv and the system works well.

I bought this product based on the recommendation from Channel Master support folks after giving them my address. Antenna comes already assembled. The only thing one needs to do is spread out the elements until they click in their spot. I installed my antenna in the attic so I had to bring it up collapsed and then unfurl there. I did not mount this on a pole or hang it. Just found a nice spot that worked with the orientation and laid it down in the attic. This antenna worked out great for me. Pointed it in the recommended direction for Rochester, NY. I have split the signal to three TVs and do not have any amplifiers. I am getting all the channels for the area and they all come in great. Very pleased with this purchase

I'm within 20 air miles of the majority of Philadelphia's TV transmitters in the "suburban" zone. This antenna works as expected. All the stations that were there with my 30 year old antenna are still there with the new one. The biggest selling point for me was that the ends of the boom (center tube that carries all the parts) is welded closed in the form of a dome. My previous antenna was a Radio Shack one that used plastic end caps. Well if you ever blew across the open end of a pop bottle you know what a tv antenna sounds like when the wind is blowing the wrong way. It's mounted on the eve of my home just above my bedroom. The first time I heard that sound I thought the house was coming apart. But not anymore!!

works very well. I get 40 channels or so most in HD so clear you can see individual hair strands. Would get 5 stars except for a piece of hardware that did not seem to fit anywhere. It may be for the support of the transformer that connects to the coaxial cable but there was no mention of it in instructions and I saw no way to connect it to the boom so now it just hangs there
