Battle with customer service 6 phone calls later
Never ceases to amaze me how customer service can’t tell me if I have got a replacement shipment on the way? let alone my first shipments whereabouts, for 2 weeks now I’ve battled them for more information probably more angers me they do their follow up information on a non business day. Y’all deserve less than one star for not letting me review you after my call. Lady did not want to speak to me her tone and reconciliation absent, wasting my time with all these calls, not a satisfied customer

Meh
I missed the sale by a day and reached out to see if they would still honor it. I was told NO but to purchase it at full price and then try to get it price matched after they just told me NO. Not sure why customer service has so many inconsistencies in what they tell you. So I never purchased the grill knowing the value is at least half of what they are currently selling it for.

I am an avid Big Green egg guy and have a mini max and thought I could take it camping but it was too heavy and I was afraid it would break. I did research and found this gem it works well almost as good as big green egg but it is much easier to take camping. Glad I purchased it

No problems with assembly, Nice to have English only manual for assembly, (Spanish one included also)
The "Easy Dump Ash Pan" is anything but easy to get back on. Have to set grill up on eye level table to do it. Bought this for winter cooking and it does it well with less than half the charcoal than a Weber Smokey Joe. Charcoal grate needs to be raised to sear steaks, put my old Smokey Joe grate on top of Acorns, and this works well.

Great Grill, I upgraded it by putting extra grill seals on the lower end of both grill rims and now temperatures are quite steady. Grilled for about 6 hours on a medium charcoal load. Also some of the screw holes I had to drill the metal as they wouldn’t fit flush. Great value

The top damper gets stuck at times. Need clearer instructions for the ash pan. There are clips on the side not mentioned.

We have the bigger grill which works excellent. We picked this one for our cabin with the same results. Great for small (4 people) groups. It cooks pizza, burgers , steaks, anything you need. Heats up quick, holds the heat for a long time. Just as good as the Egg but a whole lot cheaper!!

I grill year around on several different types of grills ( ceramic, gas, charcoal). So far I’ve tried lump charcoal and or briquettes and can’t get this Akron hotter than 300 degrees
