After looking at this shade I thought how does this work. Took a few minutes to hang in bathroom window and was pretty easy. I grabbed the end and light pulled and the shade gingerly went down so easy and smooth. Wow, it was such a game changer. I am used to having the venetian blinds with the pull strings that get tangled and in my way. These blinds are a must and they look great.

The Chicology Light Filtering Privacy Roman Shade works great blocking out the early morning sun. Sitting in our screen porch drinking our morning coffee, the rising sun brightly shines through the glass storm door glaring in our faces. With a quick pull of the shade it covers the glass, filtering nearly all but just a soft glow from the sun. Surprisingly little effort is needed to lower or raise the shade. It can easily be hung any way that you want, within the window frame, over it, or ceiling mount.

We got this shade for our laundry room. Our old one was falling down. The cats had torn it up and it wasn’t very high quality. This one is great quality and it looks great hanging up. It was easy enough to install if you have a little bit of diy experience. The shade works very well and it looks much better than having nothing at all or one that was torn up. This definitely more than met our expectations.

Flax color is nice neutral. I like the material. Cordless mechanism is working great. We’ve had them a month and using to cover glass in front door (outside mount).

We purchased a white one based on the great reviews. Unfortunately, it looks awful. It’s so sheer you can see the lift system through the shade. The lift bars at the bottom are visible through it too. It’s super janky. We hate it and will order a new custom one instead

I bought this shade for an eat-in kitchen area. They make it look very finished and clean. They were not difficult to hang at all. The light filtering quality is just perfect for what I wanted, not at all see through. They don't make the room black-out by any means, but they definitely darken the room when closed. The fabric is light and so is the lining behind which I think is nice since it makes them easy to lift and lower. Overall I really like them and would buy them again if I had to do it over.

Don't go by the measurements in the Product Overview, but overall, this is a good shade for the price and it was easy to install. I ordered this shade before the Jan 14, 2019 question from Allthumbs was answered. My windows are 34.5 inches wide, and I wanted to do an inside mount too. I selected the 33 inch option, and the Product Overview said "this shades actual width will be exactly 34 in. wide" and "current option fits perfectly inside a 34 in. to 35 in. width window casing." When I received the product, the width was exactly 33 inches (too narrow), which matches the dimensions in the Specifications section, but contradicts the Product Overview. Luckily, returns at Home Depot were very easy, and I re-ordered the 34 inch version, which fits well. I agree with the other reviews saying that the fabric isn't as thick as it appears in the pictures. Also, I love the cordless feature, but it tends to spring back a bit, so the shade doesn't always touch the window sill when pulled down. However, it's still a very nice shade, installation went smoothly, and it's a good value for the price.

They are actually 47 ½ inches wide and not the 48 inches as advertised. That makes a difference when the windows you are trying to cover up are 48 inches wide. I think they will work if I position them accurately. Related to that it is good that they have long slots in the blinds so you don’t have to position the brackets accurately. You can just position the brackets somewhere in the middle of the slots and then finalize position when you hand the blinds. Instead of drawing up like regular shades these have a magnet in them and three metal strips built in. By attaching the magnet to the strips in the blinds you can set them in multiple positions. Look at the photos to see the main three where I have connected the magnet to one strip then two and then three going up. If you just attached it to one higher up you would get other options. These are very easy to attach with just two brackets which you can either attach with the screws horizontal or vertical. As the shades have a built in cover on the front you don’t have to attach a cover over the top like some blinds. I think the brown woven look is attractive and it is nice to see a new idea for a type of product that has been around a long time. The only thing that detracts from the looks is that they are only 47 ½ inches wide so they don’t cover the whole window frame.

It is delicate and allows light to show through. It is not heavyweight.

It wasn’t the best option for my kitchen window. When you look at the back of the shade from the outside, the fabric looks untidy.

I have to return it because I can’t drill holes in my door

This product is amazing. It was easy to install (we installed it above the window and it was wider than the window for privacy reasons), feels heavy in a good way, and adds beautiful depth to the room. We have had it for 11 months now, and it just keeps getting better. It feels like a hotel because these are truly blackout curtains. It looks exactly as pictured. We are going to buy more of these for the rest of the rooms in the house.

I really like these Roman shades. Super easy to install and they look great. The Belgian flax is not light blocking it does let light through but you can’t see through which is exactly what I wanted.

These shades were easy to install and look very nice in my sunroom.
