Product did a really great job removing multiple layers of (some very) old paint. Left it on 24 hrs. Did the work indoors - no problem with smell or mess. Note - there are no instructions on the product about how to clean off product residue if you're going to resurface with water based paint or polyurethane (use denatured alcohol, not mineral spirits). Easy to find online, but not on the product.

only thing I found that could remove 2 part epoxy...
only thing I found that could remove 2 part epoxy paint from the hull of my wood boat cabin cruiser. The 15 minute chemical strip did nothing, but the citristrip, you just let it work for several hours and it will soften and bubble several layers of paint. Wish they made a bigger jug.

A very good product, especially for vertical cabinet face frames
I am using this to get the varnish and old wood stain off the face frames of our kitchen cabinets. It clings well to the vertical surfaces. I am letting it sit for 45 minutes (they recommend 30 minutes or more), and the old stuff comes right off using a multi-purpose painters' tool as the scraper. I really like that it does not seem as harsh as other stripping products.

Citristrip has very little odor and is easy to apply with a chip brush. You will want to cover your project with plastic wrap if you want to leave the product on longer than suggested; otherwise, it dries out and will require a second coat. It can be a bit messy, but I wear gloves and put a plastic tarp underneath the furniture I'm stripping.

Strip it off
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our house is old ,very old with many layers. The paste comes in handy for many rooms. It works on the paint and varnish but not the crazy glue the someone used on the floor. I definitely prefer this paste then the liquid option, so it stays where I want it.

Long time user of this stuff. I’ve tried many other products and removal techniques and this is by far the best. I definitely recommend using 2 coats; it’s very noticeable the difference it makes.

It is a great product, easy to apply but don’t be fooled, it will take several coats. I had thought it used water clean up, but realized I needed mineral spirits to finesse. Overall less toxic than most but I’m not sure it works faster or better

Pros: It is easy to use on vertical surfaces...
Pros: It is easy to use on vertical surfaces because it clings well with no drips. It does not have an unpleasant smell. Adequate: It would be 5 star if it were a little more aggressive. On a very old exterior wood door that was stained and varnished and is is severely crazed, it will take at least 3 rounds of stripping. It is getting the job done.
